Parts of Southern Brazil (I forget where exactly-- Brazil is humongous) have tons of German influence due to immigration at some point a hundred years or so ago (Giselle BUNDCHEN for example). There are also towns down there that stil get dressed up in traditional German garb and do other traditional "German stuff" (whatever that may be it's been a while since that "Brazilian literature and culture" class I took as an undergrad a million years ago).
