"You have to stay together if you have the guts"
I'm sorry but the Jedi mind tricks don't work. This sounds like a man who has information that someone might be leaving. I have to wonder--LBJ and Melo to LA?
gunsnewing@ 6/19/2014 11:48 AM
Says he guys who I bounced on the Knicks lol

I heard some of the bits from Riley I felt like one of the big three won't be coming back. I know Wade is gonna stay. He stands to lose 42 million over the next two years if he opts out and you know it would be dumb Miami to reinvest in him even at 15 mill for 4 years.
I think Riley is pissed that Wade won't opt out.
yellowboy90@ 6/19/2014 2:30 PM
I would have liked Riley to take ownership for not using their MLE or doing a good job with their draft picks or using them to get quality players.
smackeddog@ 6/19/2014 3:45 PM
Lebron will walk, I am pretty damn sure of it.
gunsnewing@ 6/19/2014 3:52 PM
He certainly is now
NardDogNation@ 6/19/2014 5:35 PM
Wade's kind've being a bitch. He keeps talking about not leaving a dime off the max amount that he's eligible for yet he can't make it through a season without missing 10-30 games. He clearly isn't the player he was and the fact is that if LeBron and Bosh did not head to MIA, he would've washed out of the league by now due to the stress on his body. They should look into moving him and re-investing his salary into the other starting spots. Another thing, they need to let Chalmers walk if he demands anything more than $3 million/yr.

Was that Riley's or Arison's call? I agree, the Heat's penny pinching played a huge role in killing Miami's bench.
PresIke@ 6/19/2014 6:08 PM
where is lebron going?
houston? chicago?
this is silliness.
he sure as hell ain't ever coming here from what i heard.
i think he may more be referring to bosh, not lebron.

You make a good point. You can't spend money you don't have. I think they missed judge their need for surrounding pieces but sending a 1st out to get rid of Joel Anthony at 3M was not good. They probably could have used his hustle over Toney Douglas.
It's not my money so...
smackeddog@ 6/20/2014 2:54 AM
For those that haven't seen it:
Yikes!
alwaysaknick@ 6/20/2014 3:17 AM
Are you listening? Melo.
Nalod@ 6/20/2014 7:48 AM
When women marries a man who cheated on his previous wife, one might expect the same to happen. Lebron, Bosh and melo left previous teams to pursue their own agenda. They left their franchise's who they had a long histories with. Was it Disloyal? One could debate that. But for Riley to ask for it now is interesting. For Riley to ask for it and almost paint Lebron, who is likely concerned with what his brand image might be if he left "again" and riley is kind of calling him out on this. Lebron makes more from endorsements and investments than on the court. Having the image of a winner is a huge commodity.
Melo's image is not as cemented with winning as it is being a very good basketball player and style celebrity. He dilutes his brand by leaving NY and if he were to go to miami and fail to win anything but a championship I think it could do more damage than good.
Good posting of the Riley Video and while he brings some very good points via: "get a grip", it sounded a bit desperate of a plea to lebron to stick it out.
Did I hear him say that Wade Opted out?
knicks1248@ 6/20/2014 8:52 AM
Riley is 100% right, this isn't a mind game or some jedi trick, that spoil bitch LBJ needs to sit his ass right there. Dude made it to 4 finals in a row, got 2 rings and now your ready to bounce when the going gets a little tough..
His legacy has already been tarnish, he won't have no legacy if he leaves.
gunsnewing@ 6/20/2014 9:20 AM
His legacy was tarnished long ago
The second he chose to collude with Superfriends in South Beach
His legacy would've remained intact had be stayed in Cleveland or game to the Knicks and led us to our first Championship in 40yrs
But he chose to ride the coattails of Wade who already had won a ring

Something is telling me him and Melo is up to something
gunsnewing@ 6/20/2014 9:46 AM
Riley is right about one thing. Winning isn't easy ask Jordan and other alltime greats who shed their blood sweat and tears for their franchises to reach the mountain top. Even guys who left their teams like Shaq & Barkley didn't collude with Superfriends in hopes of taking a shortcut to a ring.
Nice choice Lebron. Way to win two out of four premeditated finals for those awesomely diehard Miami basketball fans
What a frickin moron
Lebron represents everything wrong with young people today. Everyone wants instant gratification without putting in the work

that quote pisses me off. first for the reasons that guns pointed out and, second, how the hell did he get those guys in the first place? He got them to bolt one their original teams, right? Doesn't feel so good now, does it???
