Good news people, you can all relax and rejoice- Bargs has opted in for the final year of his contract!
Good God

Just another bad trade in a long list since 2000.
Nice. Rumor is Melo got him to opt in.

After wathcing Bargs play and inevitably get injured melo probably realizes it was a mistake giving up 3 picks for him lol

Draftnet has Nermanja Dangubic going to the raps with the 59th pick.
Rudy Gay opting in with the Kings.

Well there was a first round pick in there as well

the pick that walsh gave Denver the right to swap. Is the extra 3-4 mil in cap space in 2015 worth the compromised first in 2016? It certainly was when Walsh was running things. I guess we will find out next summer.

Im a guy who values draft picks more i guess especially the way the Knicks have thrown them away teh past 15 years i have probably ended up worse anyway. I guess we will see

That's because we were specifically targeting someone: Lebron James. I'd much rather have the the 2016 1st and two seconds back in exchange for one extra year of Novak.
I like that as soon as he heard Bargs was opting in, Melo opted out!

Exactly. The 2010 FA class was talked about for a few years and many teams were trying to get under the cap for that. teh Bargs trade was more of a panic move which turned out to be yet another bad trade. Lets face it Toronto was basically begging any team to take Bargs and nobody would do it. Of course we come in and give them 3 draft picks lol

Two lottery picks and letting Lee and others go for the right to sign Amare to a max deal that is uninsured. I'd rather have the lottery picks back.

So would I but that's hindsight. If we had signed Lebron, which was the plan, no one would give a shit that we traded 1 lottery pick, Jordan Hill, and another mid-1st, Royce White.
