It does we could of used a guy like him last year , Hopefully he can defend some it would be nice to have someone who can match up with quicker pg's

I hear they might use him to trade up tonight, maybe for Ennis. I'd prefer holding on to see what he has, as he had a limited rookie year and might need another year to develop. He's three things we haven't had in a long time - young, quick and a good shooter. You guys for keeping him, or prefer to try to get a late first rounder for an Ennis-type player instead?
his value will be on how well and eager he defends. what's the verdict?
true but remember superstar scorer ace Steph Curry ain't a defender guru either
it took him a couple of seasons to explode as an offensive player. the first time i saw him play he was making elite playmaking passes while he already had THE stroke. so the bottom line is if he is not a legit 2-way player he is the next best thing-- providing more on offense than giving up in defense. that's where coaching really helps. it will be very interesting to see what kerr is able to do with a fairly weak defensive team. is d'antoni looking for work as an assistant coach?
You can talk about his offensive shortcomings but that's why I don't understand the Jackson firing. He actually had that team in the top 5 in defensive efficency. Active willing defenders and proper positioning and discipline can go a long way in this league. Just 2 seasons ago Skiles had the Bucks playing defense and they were extremely mediocre but they snuck in the playoffs. Now look at this past season. You can cover up some players individual defensive weaknesses if you actually play team defense. OKC is always rotating help so I just hope Fish brings that same philosophy here and implements it.

This Shane Larkin didn't show up last year because of that ankle injury....if he can get back to this then I could change my mind about him.....this video is the guy I wanted to draft last year. Guess we just have to wait and see

This will be a wait and see. He has the moxy pedigree and athletiscm of a pro athlete. Problem with him is he is very very small in height weight and length. He has the wingspan of a great baseball player short and compat not necessarily great for hoops.

I think this guy projects to be a lot like Nate Robinson. A little bit less athletic, but better shooter. Maybe not as tough. He looks like he can be a good 6th man type and a halfway decent stopgap at the point. He just doesn't have the all natural pg abilities but he is unselfish, drives and kicks well, shoots off screens and spreads the floor, and hustles defensively. I think he's going to have some big games but he'll also disappear quite a bit too especially against tougher defenses. Good scoring backup though. I like him.

I think that is a fair comparison however, Larkin is 4 inches taller Anyhow, somewhere between all comparable talents between Barea(younger), Nate Robinson, Patty Mills, and DJ Augstine
