It was absolutely notable this summer that Kidd as a first year coach received a 10M contract, vs. Kerr and Fisher's 25M deals. I did not expect it to have such an impact over in Brooklyn though.
Can't blame the Russians for not putting Kidd in the driver's seat. He doesn't have the best track record.

A friend of mine has been friends with Kidd since he was 13 years old. He always says Kidd is a great guy. The stuff that has come out about him certainly does not look good though.

Yeah, but to be fair, it has been one-sided. Not denying Jason Kidd is a douchebag, just saying that there's probably somethings being left out of these "reports."
The guy that has been a financial advisor to kidd is one of the owners. HE made this play because he could get it in in MIlwaukee so it made sense for him to try.
Successful people are not always "good" guys. I know he owns a small tiny stake in Nets but he might want a bigger piece of Milwaukee and has the cash for it. Riley was an douche for leaving knicks but he had a great offer and MIami sent a pick.

Yeah, honestly, he'd be a fool not to pursue this opportunity. The Nets aren't close to winning a title and he's going to be stuck with a crappy roster for a few years. Milwaukee is young and in the rise with a fan base that has lowered expectations. Maybe Kidd could've handled this with a bit more class? Maybe he did and we're just getting one side of the story.

Its a game that cannot end with style and Grace. Dude made a play because its what he could get in Milwaukee. Riles did the same thing, he asked for what Dolan would never agree to.
I know fans love to see Nyets falter and slam Billy King portraying the Nyets are dysfunctional losers while I have been accused of being a closet fan. Actually I find the game King is playing to be high stakes interesting and it fascinates the hell out of me. Its not a game I'd play but maybe that makes it even more interesting.
Kidd is taking out a page from Isiah's gamebook and perhaps we should just look at it as these guys are competitive type "A" driven assholes who are driven to succeed in any arena they are playing in!!!!

I believe that Kidd knew that his power play with the Nets was going to over like a lead balloon. Might not have been able to quit and leave for Milwaukee so he did the next best thing and pissed them off enough to force their hand. Looks like they will let him walk for some draft picks. The Nets should drag this out and make Kidd sweat.
Nets will end up making like bandits: lose a mistake in Kidd and gain a draft pick or two from a sucky team.

Exactly. JVG, Larry Brown, Pat Riley... We've seen this before. I really don't blame Kidd for wanting to leave a sinking ship. I do have a problem with Bucks management for doing this behind the current GMs back. I think deserved a heads up before the story broke.
