And there it is!

The cheap bulls really want Anthony and don't want to give us sh1t. Very smart if they can get Melo to sign outright. If not, they can add needed pieces to make a run.

This move had to be done.

CrushAlot @ 7/2/2014 11:58 PM
I can't copy the article but it said they were doing it more to pursue Gasol, and Ariza. It sounds like they don't think there is a chance to get Melo. Just what I got from it.

because Melo wants to just get the max from NY.

This would be such a dumb move by him. To take the max in NY.

no that is NOT what the article is saying. it is saying that their backup alternative is to pursue gasol.

"In recruiting Anthony, the Bulls hoped the Knicks would be interested in a sign-and-trade for Boozer’s expiring contract, but they have been rebuffed several times. The Bulls are assuming they’ll have to acquire Anthony as a free agent, and they felt good about their position after meeting with him Tuesday in Chicago.

That doesn’t mean the Bulls aren’t being proactive.

They’re headed to Los Angeles for a meeting with Lakers free-agent big man Pau Gasol, not only as an alternate plan if Anthony re-signs with the Knicks — the only team Bulls officials think is a threat in the sweepstakes — but also to sell Gasol on the idea that they can fit him under the salary cap with Anthony, but they’d have to get creative."

ESPN is saying that a Boozer amnesty isn't a done deal.

You and TKF need to prepare yourselves for the worst case scenario- Melo back in NY for pretty much the max. Didn't think there was a hope in hell of it happening,m but a wide range of sources seem to be saying it's looking likely.

I am actually warming up the the idea of Melo back. Specially since Big Chief Triangle has added some parts that on paper looks like a fit with the triangle. Also happy that Fatton is gone. Now if he can get rid of JR Smith I would be performing bukake all over my monitor.

Jr smith contract is a steal. What you should wish for is stat and barbs contract to be traded....

his contract is not a bad one at all. You can argue that most of his woes last year was due to injury. Yes, he is a knuckle head but really is a good player if used right. I believe he had a 56 TS% after January.

I think Phil can mind-jedi JR into a better player - happy to keep if under those circumstances. Especially at that money.

I think JR was the big difference between the 50 win season and last years 37 win team.

If phil can only get to him ...

I believe that they will not take his sh1t. This is not your Woody team no mo. If he phucks and chucks he sits.

I actually think without a stupid enabler as a coach we may actually be able to force JR's hand into playing within the system (somewhat)

I would love to see him get shots playing off the ball.

And btw, if his contract was not a bad one he would be gone already

Exactly, He has playmaking ability but he should not be at the top of the key trying to create. He needs to be coming of screens and shooting or running side PnRs after running off screens that created space for him to get a head start.

We should just minimize the number of dribbles he is allowed. I would cap it at 4 dibbles (in the same spot) :-)

Honestly, Like someone else on another board mentioned. He should follow Jose Calderon shot chart, nothing mid range... just 3s and layups. The triangle should keep him on the move.

I have been preaching 3's and layups forever! Mid range 2's are called sh1t shots for a reason.

I think the knicks need to go after Boozer so they can have their version of the 3 amigos. The 3 worst defending PFs in the league would be classic.

The I could ask... "Would you say there was a plethora of wide open drives to the lane?"
