I never saw such a group of guys so ready to throw a player under the bus. He came back last year. Now I'm not saying all are ready to get rid of him. Now some of you are calling LeBron a weak person mentally which is crazy. I'm sure glad some of you weren't decision makers for the Knicks you would be trying to get rid the whole team every season.

Why don't you find a new message board if you don't like the people here? Get rid of the heartburn.

Why on earth should we have to outbid everyone else by $35 mil for Melo?! If you know that no one else in the world will pay more than $500K for a house, would you offer $2 mil for it?

because our owner is a cocaine addict and he wants to help fellow crack/cocaine addicts like jr

dwiley20 @ 7/4/2014 9:09 AM
He is in the way of shumpert and hardaway jr...get em' outta here!!!
TPercy @ 7/4/2014 9:20 AM
I honesly say we should test him out...under new influence we never know..Unless we are trading for an All Star/superstar I propose we see how he does....if he continues we trade him if not keep. The level of impatience of NYK fans is unbelievable.
Nalod @ 7/4/2014 9:23 AM

I see no reason why JR should not be given a chance. His talent is obvious and perhaps if his reading level is not up to par Phil can give him books on tape.
GustavBahler @ 7/4/2014 9:33 AM
If there is a player that Phil is really interested in acquiring and he can trade him for JR, or JR is part of that package, I hope Jackson goes for it. I will be happy if JR stays and has a great season (from start to finish) of course, but I've also seen enough to want him gone before the next possible fiasco.

JR might find a home with a contender with a strong coach and a core of veterans who could help keep him in check. I read that KT and Kmart (yes Kmart) were performing that function on the Knicks, when they where out of the picture, that's when things started to go south.

Wow!

When Nalod is standing up for a player like Jr. That's the power of Zen.

No patience??? You can't be serious. He's been here 3 seasons. Karl had the same problems with this guy.

One of which he won sixth man of the year...

Again with the If a guy would just do this . Im so sick of 1 dimensional BB players n NY. My first thought is to get this guy as far away from this BB team as possible so he doesnt infect the young players. However if he has one of his 2 weeks of great play at the beginning of the season maybe we can ship him out of here for something useful.

When he was playing for a contract and money , so I guess since he has a player option there is a chance he could play well this year.

Allanfan20 @ 7/5/2014 9:44 AM
I have read a few people say how JR had a comeback season. Have people not been watching the games and/or look at the stat sheets? He was tremendously disappointing. His one really good run with us ended in him fighting with the Celtics and F'ing our playoff hopes. If you can trade him to a team, looking for some electricity, for a smaller contract,
you do it. JR is not committed to winning.

Plump and DUMP
Anji @ 7/5/2014 10:21 AM
JR was balling post All star break last year, after he got healthy. He is by far the best Two guard on the roster, no way we should dump him.
RonRon @ 7/5/2014 10:22 AM

"Ridiculous" CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT Smith

What do you think about AB?

nyk4ever @ 7/5/2014 11:33 AM
i'd love to see what phil could do with jr smith. there's no guarentee that he can get through to him, but i think the reward is much greater than trading him now. jr doesn't hold a ton of trade value to begin with, so seeing if phil can get through to him, i think is a worthy shot.
smackeddog @ 7/5/2014 1:00 PM
I don't know why, and I know I shouldn't, but I like JR!

Every team can afford to have one JR, and he played well in 2012-13, and the second half of last season after he recovered from the injury. I'd like to see if Phil can tighten up his act a little bit.

Who Bargnani???

I'm not a fan, not after watching him day in and out. Even when he personally played well/good, it seems his negatives brought down who he was on the floor with.
