To the "OMG-what-are-you-complaining-about-no-one-was-going-to-touch-Novak's-contract-without-giving-up-a-first-and-two-second-rounders" crowd: someone did take his contract and for significantly less than what gave up to get rid of him. For the record, Novak was similarly listless with the Raptors having had his minutes cut in half from the previous season; so it wasn't like a jump in his play helped to increase his trade value. But at least we have 42 games of Andrea Bargnani to look forward to....
Let's focus on Mike Sweetneys diet
I hear Jerome James is making a comeback
...or we could focus on something that happened just one year ago and is still affecting us today.
I am so dissapointed James Dolan didn't settle with Anucha Brown, as opposed to letting it go through trial like how he did. He would have avoided such a Knocks headedache.
Van Grundy got a raw deal.

Yeah, Andrea Bargnani was an excellent trade.
Who is this Steve Novak you speak of?

Have you seen him lately in a game? I have and its ridiculous.

Think we can get him for the MLE or should we just offer him the max?
How many games did he actually play in for us? He was always fun to listen to in interviews though.

Tall, NBA journeyman that was a horrible player but could shoot the hell out of the 3? He played for a bum ass franchise (the name escapes me) that played in NY? Ring a bell at all?

He could shoot the hell out of the three, but rarely when it really mattered. "Bum ass franchise" ? You ok NardDog? You seem a bit on edge lately.
is it a coincidence that Utah is the team that traded for Novak?

LMAO, I meant to put a "lol" at the end of the comment so that you knew I was joking. My bad. I'm alright though; thanks for asking.

No problem, glad to hear it.

You calling conspiracy?
Dolan made the Bargs trade as a favor to his CAA connections who manage Bargs. It had very little to do with Novak's contract.
Didn't we give up a first rounder and the player we had just picked in the first round to shift Jared Jeffries contract- all the Raptors have to give up is one second rounder!

Yep and the first rounder was top 3 protected and the player was the 7th pick in the draft that year.

He is from Wisconsin.
I still wonder if we had to give Mike Riordan for Earl? Maybe a 2nd round pick could have done it?
