my guess ... Melo waiting Jack to ship Stoud out while freeing some cap space ... I don't think Melo taking time is bad news .... as opposed, I believe Jack has asked him to wait a bit ... if Stoud out, LeBron could step in infact (maybe shipping out Bargnani as well), along with Melo and Gasol ...

If LeQ comes here, it would be so wrong on so many levels. And so nice to Pat the Rat.
You are asking Jack to get some crazy mad sheehit done.
would love to see the three together @ msg .... let me dream, please
why wait then? Either Melo is coming back or not- regardless of what Phil does to free up space this year.
Now, if Melo is signing where ever Lebron goes, then that's different!

By not showing his cards now, it maintains maximum flexibility (for Melo AND for teams). There's no reason to show any hands until Lebron decides where he wants to play. Phil should line up a deal for Stat & Bargs regardless.
Can we start putting "OPINION" or something like that in these types of thread titles?

exactly... just looks like he's covering all his bases
I agree with Silverfeul. The thread title is misleading. We have no clue what Melos thoughts and feelings on Stoudemire, truely are... And we may never know.

DK knows.. he's home stroking his ego right now as we speak. After that he's going to kick puppies and drop water ballons on old ladies from his fancy apartment

I heard Melo was eating some Honey Nut Cheerios from his fancy apartment.

Yeah, and we all know he stole those from some poor blind starving orphan kid. While smiling. And making Phil bendover. And underpaying his maids to clean all that knickfan blood off his money. While sticking pins in his Lin doll.
So when Jason Kidd roughed up Lin, it was really Melo roughing him up? I should have known this. Why hasn't
Isola mentioned a word of this?
Allanfan, please, read through the threads. EvilMelo is capable of forcing people into horrible acts simply by smiling.
Melo also made JKidd miss all those shots. It was the haircut. Or the 'stache, I forget.

I guess my stab at comedy was lost.
Melo wants a winning team ... we all know Stud and Barg aren't exactly what Melo would look for as winning teammates ... he wants to play in a well shaped Big 3 team and Phil is working at it
Phil is at work ... I bet Melo will disclose after July 10th, when we will know if cap space was created ... if Stud still on roster by then, I bet Melo @ LA

I actually think Amar'e could have a return to form year this year.
And we talk about winners - but was Jason 42 years old Kidd the difference between a 37 win team and 54 win team?
Wallace, Camby and KT?
Four over forty?

Yeah. Its hard to blame him. Stat was healthy going into two of the three playoffs they shared as knick teammates but injured his back the first year throwing down so hard in warm ups and then almost ended his career the next year punching a fire extinguisher. Chances are Stat won't be healthy and if he is it is hard to say that he won't injure himself somehow when the playoffs come around.
apparently my dream isn't that crazy ...

No. Amare will not return to form.

He put up 16.9 & 6.6 in March - slight drop in April, but I think by then, we were out of it.
I don't think its too much to expect Amar'e to put up similar numbers.
Assuming he isn't traded or hurt.

This is a silly statement. At this point in his career he doesn't have to return to form in the sense of what he used to be. He simply has to remain healthy cuz he's still one of the most efficient big men in the league. He still would need to expand his game to fit in the Triangle. Just looking to pass more out of the post. His post skills are there for sure tho and if he's healthy he would fit that post scorer role well. It may be best for him to be traded and play off the bench of a decent team.
