I'll believe it when I see it.

Ditto but the article makes excellent points... Such as LeBron wanting to accept the challenging of delivering Cleveland it's first championship of any sport, since 1964.

I wonder how much of him actually believes that (if he thinks it). When he left, he made the distinction of being from Akron and not Cleveland; even going so far as to state that people from Cleveland looked down on people from Akron. I do think he'll end up back in Cleveland but if he does it, I think it'll be at the end of his career as a way to save face and erase the bad blood he created earlier in his career. But that would be moreso for his gain than anything he'd provide Cleveland.

My take on it is this:

Lebron owes Cleveland less than Melo owes NY. In fact he doesn't owe them anything. They tanked and drafted him and when he became a FA he left. Didn't they get some compensation as well? I thought they got some picks but I could be wrong.

Melo on the other hand forced his way here and had them gut the team so he could get paid and wear a NYK uni. Sure he is a free agent but if he leaves and we get nothing, it looks bad. It's his right to do as he pleases though so not much we can do.

MIAMI—After viewing its latest pitch highlighting all he could accomplish with its organization, NBA power forward LeBron James confirmed Tuesday that he is currently leaning toward joining the militant Islamic group Al-Qaeda. “I’ve been doing my due diligence, and right now I’m really interested in [Al-Qaeda leader] Ayman al-Zawahiri’s vision and what he has already built over there,” said James, adding that while he has also considered offers from terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram and the Taliban, he believes heading to Al-Qaeda remains his best opportunity to defeat the West in the immediate future. “It seems like they’re open to doing a max deal, but I’d be willing to take a pay cut if that’s what it’ll take for them to bring in a big-time cell leader to work alongside me. Of course, I also can’t ignore their storied history and the fact that they have such a loyal following. I’m certain they have the personnel to take out both L.A. and San Antonio. Overall, I think moving to the Arabian Peninsula is the best option for me right now, and it will help take me to the next level.” At press time, James confirmed that his agent Rich Paul, who has been overseas negotiating with the group, has not been heard from in six days.

lebron back to cleveland is great for the league as a whole. anyone who says its going to be easier for the knicks is wrong though.. cleveland has a ton of talent. how does an opposing team guard lebron, wiggins and kyrie irving?
Rookie @ 7/9/2014 11:08 AM
I love this! I hope it goes down. Then I hope Melo makes a power play to join Lebron w/a S&T. We would have a real honest to goodness rebuild in NY
Nalod @ 7/9/2014 11:08 AM

Really, Cleveland can build something special with its assets. Wiggins can get you KLove.

Lebron-Love-Kyrie-varajao and still a lot of assets that can be traded or played.

If Wiggins is special, it can be lebrons pippen, or the other way around.

Gilbert can offer him right of first refusal to buy the team in 10-12 years.

I didn't believe it until this morning. Either it happens or Lebron is somehow even more hated in Cleveland than he was in 2010! Raising their hopes AND leading to them giving up picks!

Cavs just traded 3 players and a pick for cap space. trying to sign LBJ and Ray Allen.

If winning is the only thing he is worried about then Cleveland is not going to be it. Those are good pieces but they are raw in terms of championship contending experience. It would take a year or two to make that core gel enough to win a chip
CrushAlot @ 7/9/2014 11:52 AM
Broussard said the Cavs are also pursuing Mike Miller. Miller, Allen and Jones are supposed to be some of his favorite teammates.
