So far we are practically divided.

I wonder if he makes his announcement today or maybe tomorrow to have his own spotlight.

New York needs Stars and Melo is a star stay home!
OasisBU @ 7/11/2014 4:12 PM
I think he is coming back, Rose's knees are too risky - Amare 2.0.
NardDogNation @ 7/11/2014 4:52 PM
It really depends on the circumstances. Ultimately, we need to rebuild BUT I'm not going to rebuild for its sake alone. If we can get Mirotic, McDormett, Butler and a pick or two for Melo I say rebuild. If we can sucker the Cavs into giving us Wiggins and filler, I say rebuild. If we can't get a minimum of that or Melo threatens to walk, I say keep him at all costs and then trade him sooner rather than later for a better package.

Please, go to Chi and wait for Rose's knees to completely implode? Noah's underrated and thibs is grear, but is that worth being part of the PJax era? Melo wins a chip here, he's god. He wins in Chicago and he's a blip on MJ's tookus.

the bulls are better without rose in the picture and melo there to replace boozer. noah is a better passer and playmaker than rose. rose and melo are too similar in terms of ball-sticking.

what chicago needs if melo is in and rose is out is a backcourt player who can play shut down defense at either backcourt position.

That would be funny as Hell! I await "The Decision" with a fresh outlook.

TheSage @ 7/11/2014 8:59 PM
Melo will probably announce his decision tomorrow. LBJ had his day today and tomorrow will be Melo's unless he is headed to Chi in which case compensation is being negotiated.

People still believe he is returning, but I think we can all agree at this point that the wait has been suspicious, indicative of his desire to leave town.

Its weird:

Supposedly is between Knicks and Bulls, but Chicago is close to straight up sign Gasol, which would only make possible to get Melo through a trade. Yet all the leverage would go to NY, who can say NO and then what?

Houston is still a dark horse here. They made the Lin trade supposedly because they had a guarantee from a big Free Agent. We all thought it was Bosh, but now that he is back with Miami, does it mean Houston was burned or where they always trying to get Melo in the first place?

And lets play innocent here: Melo has 5 offers on the table from NY. What if he is having a hard time whether getting the money or leaving us space to get someone else?

The delay on his decision is too suspicious.

This is a 100% spot on.

when do teams ever get "suckered" into giving away the #1 overall pick with as much hype as wiggins? come on.. rebuilding should be done in our case because it is the right thing to do. not because there are certain conditions that need to be met.. one of them being suckering a team out of the top overall pick.... the cavs IMO are looking at love and I think a wiggins and thompson for love deal makes sense as love balances out that cavs roster... and he can actually play PF....his natural position..

...we are talking about the Cavs. Them getting LeBron doesn't change the fact that they are a horribly run franchise with one hell of a streak of luck. Considering Melo's relationship with LeBron and the Wolves dragging their feet on a Kevin Love trade, I think that there is a real possibility of something like this happening. Trading Wiggins, Thompson and maybe Bennett for Kevin Love and Gorgui Dieng is no doubt the better play though.
