You offer great insight, especially when it comes to draft prospects, but that is a very tough statement to make. This is a bold statement that is very unlikely to happen. Like less than 1%. That being said he is very underrated.
Nalod@ 7/16/2014 5:48 PM
But what about those shoulders?
Will he take a pay cut?

The guy is just a scorer--hes big nimble and he's got a highly accurate touch very accurate. He is toying at the SL--best player I have seen. Doug Mcdermott has played very well too but this kid is simply better than thw two SF hyped above him. Hes 6-8.5 225 too. He scored just as well or better than Melo is college shooting 54% at 25 per game--hes just following through in the SL--in fact hes better with the faster open pace.

Maybe Briggs. Or maybe he turns into this guy.
EnySpree@ 7/16/2014 7:30 PM
I been watching his summer league YouTube videos....
The dude can definitely score. He looks a little like James worthy to me. He's a natural scorer. One of the announcers said Bernard King. I don't see king....I can't really put my figure on who he reminds me of though... I'll post when it hits me
RonRon@ 7/16/2014 7:48 PM
Briggs, you also would have traded
CA
for
Kelly Olynick Nate Walters Mike Muscula
you would have done it for just the first 2 players and I know you were BIG on Muscula, feeling we should have reached with him with the Tim Hardaway pick....

Both Worthy and King were superior athletes. He kinda reminds of Cedric Ceballos. He also reminds me of Don McLean with short range jumpers and floaters. I said he reminded me of Landry Fields before the draft. I guess I'll have to upgrade my scouting report to a poor man's Tony Campbell.
Swishfm3@ 7/16/2014 10:13 PM
Remember when Briggs said M.Sweeney was going to be the next C.Barkley?
Brother...I love that you have the guts to make these bold statements but I will have to disagree with you on this one

Cedric ceballos!!! Yeah man that's a good one. Cedric was the man for a hot second. That was my second favorite squad back then. They had nick van excel, a young vlade, Eddie Jones, Elden Campbell...

Briggs has a long list of players who have done well, and a long list of ones blurred into obscurity. Its his pleasure to present them to us but like most of us has no accountability because fans get as many draft picks as we like each year. GM's have one or two and are on the clock.
Sometimes scouting gets it wrong but we move on to the next pick. GM's and teams don't have that luxury.
Hey, if your gonna do "Told ya about" type posts, maybe we should have some list of our picks and our record.

You think he is athletic enough , Ive always been impressed with the variety in his offensive skill but he isnt overly explosive and his ball handling in the half court isnt at the level of Carmelo at Syracuse. I'm not saying he can't be good but your making a pretty bold statement here. I don't think he has the sheer individual talent that Carmelo has but he can play within a system.
Nalod@ 7/17/2014 9:57 AM
Maybe he gets better and Melo will be worse in Two years?
Killa4luv@ 7/17/2014 10:34 AM
Andrew Bogut was gonna be a 20 and 10 player, perennial all-star. We're still waiting on that.

Haha. Great Insight overall, not speaking about this particular instance.
