I think the whole league got better personally.It's going to be tough for every team to win, I see more parity

Yes the whole league got better but we didn't get better enough to move from our 37win total.
The bottom half is where the main problem lies with competition
Philly is not going to lose 63gms
Bucks are not going to lose 67gms
Cleveland is not going to lose 49gms
Orlando is not going to lose 59gms
Boston is not going to lose 57gms
Detroit is not going to lose 53gms
Utah is not going to lose 57gms
Lakers are not going to lose 55gms
Pelicans are not going to lose 48gms
Denver is not going to lose 46gms
I see at least 6-12gm win increases with these teams. 1-2 would increase their margin by more than 12
2 teams who more than likely have no major movement compared to last season are Wolves[unless they make a trade] and Knicks.
Both could be 2-3gms better at best, more than likely worse
Primarily because of mediocre results.It's really difficult to show major progress from mediocre when we didn't do enough to change in the off season
I think some of us are underestimating the difference it makes going from Felton to Jose and no system to the Triangle. As Crush also points out the circumstances from last year are not likely to repeat themselves. IMO the slumping of JR, Felton, Udrih and Shump was huge. All 4 of them were shooting so poorly and playing with such a weak demeanor that it impacted the rest of the team for months. Fish and Phil are going to create a much better culture and attitude and with a team oriented system they'll get everyone involved and playing as a team. I'm very high on the Knicks chances of winning the Atlantic.

In the context of what was being explained, I think it means any other PG we might have wanted- "If 'player X' via trade was an option."

I think the biggest question mark this team has - and no stat can ever measure this quality- is leadership and the will to win.
Who has it?
I think our 50 win team had it with J Kidd, and last year, Melo put up fantastic numbers, but we struggled.
I have to believe that Phil Jackson by his mere presence, and Derek Fisher, will move the needle far in the correct direction of leadership and the will to win.
Will that be enough? No stat can capture this except wins or losses. And until this group laces up and battles 82 games, we don't know what the result will be.

1) a front office AND a coach with the same plan
2) a style of play
3) a balance of veterans AND youth
4) respect for the draft
But guy would rather drone on and on about the travesty of giving a max contract to a max player, or how bad our new PGs defense is after starting on a 50 team in the West, or how literally every team in the NBA got better... I dont expect everyone to drink koolaid but the stuff some of these guys harp about makes me wonder why the follow the sport at all.

There are a lot of stats I've cited: WS, on/off +/-, points per 100 possessions. Tyson is better than either one or both of them in each of the important stats. What info. exactly are you looking for?

I am sorry I did not see you cite overall stats on why Tyson is better than Cole/Dal. I did see you say offensively he is better and saw you cite why Felton is better than Calderan.
