Interesting pattern that usually the NBA champion is in the luxury tax. No team with no luxury tax dollars spent won the NBA title either. The pattern seems to show a mix of waiting for the opportune moment, then going all in. Spending big is fine, just spend once you have the core. Guess this was probably an exercise in common sense and what has been wrong with the Knicks franchise for many years.
