If George were a Knick we'd tear him a part for being a selfish SOB

. But he's on the opposition so we'll praise him for stepping up and being an assassin...

It's funny how things change when you don't have a #2 guy.
I think we can all agree when you're on the outside looking in and you hear this, it sounds like wild talk.
Doesn't mean if you're on the inside looking in it doesn't sound just as absurd
One thing PG has in his favor, he's never been a guy chasing shots.
I'll be watching to see if he balances his FGAs with ASTs and ball movement, while playing elite level defense
I believe PG has been criticized for his inability to be dominant scorer///// looks like he's accepting the challenge of criticism

it all comes down to (1)his TS%, (2) his ability to defend the position, and (3) his usage to assist ratio.
he is already at 55.5%TS which is an area for improvement yet already superior to mcgrady and equal to bryant in the regular season. better still, while both bryant and mcgrady's TS% went down in the playoffs, this young man actually has elevated his game in the playoffs here.
defensively he is already way ahead of those two.
lastly, paul george's usage to assist ratio is comparable to both mcgrady's and bryant's ratios.
unless he becomes completely unhinged, nobody will be able to accuse him of being a selfish, one-way player. knicks could use a player like him in the worst way.
Already accomplished more in the playoffs in 4 short yrs than Melo has in 11yrs

It's official once I say that about Gallo and that's in the process of coming to fruition
coming to fruition as in Gallo-Melo not me and TKF!!

although both tkf and gunsnewing are probably heterosexuals i am still pretty sure you are a homophobe... seems like you may have some "issues"

maybe the opposite...maybe he's struggling with his own sexuality
That's a dumb thing to say, I'll leave it at that. Setting shot goals for yourself (25 shots a night) is never a good sign. The whole quote is bizarre.
he's young. there's still hope for Paul George

Hope that he won't become Melo? Lol
Don't worry he doesn't have the offensive skillset
Actions speak louder than words. Melo may not say what Paul said but he has no problems shooting 30% on 30 shots for his career in the playoffs
I highly doubt Paul will look to average Melo's 25 shot attempts this year but if he does you can bet he will shoot a higher percentage than Melo. He shoots well vs elite defensive teams. Melo shoots in the 30's vs the Chicago, Miami & Indiana's of the world

i agree melo's skillset is definitely offensive
Melo is in beast mode when he plays the Orlando Magic & Milwaukee Bucks

I don't know if you were watching round 1 of the playoffs but PG's offense was extremely shaky against a hawks team with mediocre defense. George still cannot generate his own shot anywhere near melo's level. If you want to say he is better all-around I can understand that, but George is still no offensive juggernaut and you can bet the pacers are going to be a run of the mill offense this season, at best, as currently constructed.
offensively yes you are right but Paul is only 24. Melo was shooting Iverson percentages at his age

lolz
lolza we're paying $35mil more for a player who attempts 4 more FGA/gm, only averages 6ppg more, & 6yrs older than George
