Those deals would still save a shit pile of money. And or roster would be healthy

JR for Copeland? Are you serious?

Yeah why not? We talked about it here before. The trade saves the kicks 6 mil per year.

You can still keep 2 shooting guards after that. Allows shump and thjr if you don't put him in that other deal.

Pacers need cope now PG is out- a good opportunity for him, I'm curious to see how he does. How do they need JR?

You can probably get more for JR at the deadline if you want to trade him plus Cope could fit in the TPE if the Pacers want to get rid of him. That would cost a future protected 2nd rder though. Anyway, I think Cope will likely be cut by the Pacers.

I like all of our guards, but it's just a fact that we have too many. I think these 2 are likely to see more bench time then any of them anyway.

I think if he is in ny Pablo plays ahead of Larkin.

The guy on nbc's site is speculating Jax will sign Thanasis if he opens up a roster spot.

When can Ellington be traded? I know there was a brief window right after the trade where he could be moved. Isn't there a period of time before he can be moved again?

Holy crap, Batman! That's all this board needs. Cope to become the new PG.

Indy lost Lance. They need a knucklehead.

CrushAlot wrote:Wow. Great find. Celtics are trying to move Bass. I beleive bass makes 6 mil. I think bass tightens up the frontline. I also think he defends Bron well ad he is expiring. I wonder if te Knicks could put a package together to get bass that works for the celtics.

Bass makes 7mm Pablo and Ellington make 4.1--pretty far off.

I know. I messed around with trade checker. The knickscdont really have the contracts to get that deal done. Stat and pieces (don't remember the guys I plugged in) works for Green, Wallace, and Bass.

Is the CBA now with 150% rule?

Maybe expand trade as you're suggesting

Isn't Pablo's last year a partial

The Spurs get a lot of use out of vets who play a very definted role like Ellington and Prigs. They also would work well for a team like Miami. I think best case you get a couple of 2's or maybe a really late first for the pair if a team can absorb the cap hit. Not sure what kind of player you are gonna get back for a 2 for 1.

Beer mentioned the trade exception. I am not quite sure how it can be used but if it could be used in a deal to get Bass I think that would be a great move.

I've always said this guy could be a defensive specialist....As long as he has an NBA skill that can help your team, you add him. He reminds me of dennis rodman, with his energy and how that energy can spread to other team mates.....Dennis offense was beyond terrible, but he did so much on defense, rebounding and transition, his lack of half court offense didn't stop them from winning a few chips.

Knicks made that trade June 25/26th.... so that makes August 24th a date for us to lust over if 60 days is true.

I think we can absorb salary into the $3.7mil TPE slot up to $5.575mil or $1.875mil if 150% rule is in effect.

Bass makes too much

Edit: My bad Avery Bradley's figures aren't present so it wouldn't put them below cap

I wonder if we are positioning to get into a Cle/Min/Phi deal. Minn is looking to dump salary and needs a taker for Kevin Martin and Barea. Barea is expiring so likely headed to Phi, but Kevin Martin could be a Knicks target in that deal.

Martin would be a nice pickup. He hits the three at a good percentage and is a big guard.
