Nice....But Starks would be the 6th man, with Bernard King in his place.
And thats hard for me to do, since Starks has always been my favorite Knick growing up.

I think it's time for JR to start....If he's still here!
Thats a solid lineup! And might be Fishers top choice!
The other question is who will Fisher start?
I guess I should have put ALL TIME STARTING 5 in the title....i'm a loser at life
PG: Becky Hammon
SG: Skylar Diggins
SF: Maya Moore
PF: Della Donne
C: Lisa Sparks

I think this is one I could see Fish going with. It's more of an offensive unit but I think JR makes it almost impossible to load up on trying to stop Melo. Shump would give the SL better D but then he's not the threat JR is. You can use Shump off the bench to add a bit of D to another offensive unit with Prigs, THJ, Bargs and Dalembert.
Picking a SL is gonna be hard and easy to second guess. The thing about having Melo and JR in there is that when the ball is on the strong side in the Triangle JR makes that more potent and helps the Post man due to his presence. This is a tough line up for a team to defend with Melo on the weak side with space to run a 2 man game. It just makes the Knicks a very tough cover.
Jason Smith allows them to clear space cuz he can shoot from range and so he can move and take his man away from the post allowing Amar'e more room to operate and Jason is a good shooter to hit if Amar'e is doubled. Basically you want guys who are a legit threat no matter where they are on the floor in the Triangle and this line up gives the Knicks that kind of versatility.
Off the top of my head, and guys I've seen:
Jordan
Magic
Kareem
Bird
Lebron

I'd actually love to see that group on the court at the same time - they might give up a ton of points, but boy would they fly!
