Knicks · Prediction if Tim Mosgov gets 35 minutes a game next year (page 1)
BRIGGS@ 8/26/2014 11:53 AM
ans stays mostly healthy--he will become the number 1 rated free agent big man on the market.
Moonangie@ 8/26/2014 11:57 AM
SMH...
Think you might be reaching there, BRIGGS. But would be very cool if he hits his stride this year and stays off the DL.

Mosgov has low mileage on his body--he's got the ability to score 15-17 points and grab 10-12 rebounds with good D every night while shooting 52-54%. At 7-1 thats going to put him right at the top or very close to it in FA when 20+ teams have a great deal of space.

I'd rather have Robin Lopez. He is younger more efficient, and is impact player on defense. However all of this is unnecessary because Cole Aldrich will become all the knicks need.

Moz has shown some growth
His court awareness and hands need more improvement
I like what I've seen from him recently
Nuggets have a lot of big ifs dealing with health
Gary Harris is a major x factor for them
And from his draft class in general
I see a new age Mitch Richmond-Ray Allen in his game
yellowboy90@ 8/26/2014 1:04 PM
Clevland might be still trying to get Mosgov.
F500ONE@ 8/26/2014 2:30 PM
Yeah they've been hot after him for almost 2 mos
They've already been declined for a 1st
If Denver doesn't pick up his Team Option
Cleveland probably makes an offer to him, if the cap explodes

I would think they would be over the cap next year once Kyrie ext. kicks in. Then they have to sign Love and James if he opts out. Maybe they can sign a FA then go over the cap to sign Love since his bird rights are transferred via trade but then Lebron signed as a FA so they do not have his bird rights if he opts out.
I think they are looking to overpay, via draft picks, now for a player so they will have his bird rights then they can sign everyone and go over the cap.

If Cleveland really wants him they will get him. Lebron's teams get whoever they want (within reason) via free agency or trade.

...the continual Why I Hated The Trade bs will last longer than Melo's new contract.

How many years is this post trade? If you went by his production and injury history since then, Mosgov would have most likely been moved somewhere else, even if we didn't trade him. If he blew up one or two seasons after the trade I might understand the looking back, but Mosgov didn't, far from it.

Right, watch this and tell me this guy doesn't have potential.

Shaw played a big role in his development, and is said to have had a hugr influence on Stephenson and Hibbert's progress.

This has nothing to do w Melo I didnt say a word about him. I was just thinking of big men in FA and it came to me that Mosgov could end up being a top 3 choice of teams IF he is given the time to play 32+ this year. We may be a team that is in line to get Mosgov.

OK, Briggs my bad. Thought this was another woulda, coulda, shoulda, thread. If Moz is starting to come around I wouldn't be against bringing him back. Even though I said at the time that Moz was the one I really wish we kept, I haven't seen anything from him consistently in the years since the trade to look back and wonder what if? Maybe someone will get him at the right time in his career.

Was it Shaw that helped or that he finally got minutes. Karl played Kostas ahead of McGee. The nuggets fired Karl and traded Kostas. Mc Gee ended up getting hurt and was out most of last season. Moz finally got some court time.
