I don't see a reason to play STAT 32 mpg or more. I think it's smarter to make use of the bigs on the bench and keep STAT fresh. A strong performance from STAT in 25-28 mpg should be just as effective. Let him go longer in the playoffs.

Amare was the mvp candidate the first year came to knicks, but I also recall Knicks was a 0.500 team, not as worse as out last year though.
He's on the last year of his contract. It's time for the Knicks to take the white kid gloves off and let him play till his knees fall off.

I seriously think the only way Stat becomes an all-star with those knees is to join a wheelchair league. Just kidding, just kidding.
And I don't think PJax/The New Derek are going to put up with Stat's level of overall effort. Ever seen Stat hurt himself going for a loose ball? That and his never ending stream of injuries is not going to equate to a whole lot of minutes. It's a new day, and The yoots will need to play.
I've seen enough dribbling the ball off his feet and out of bounds to last for quite awhile.
That said, it's contract time, and I can only hope for miracles out of him and Bargs!

Amare has a PG now, and his true strenght is p n r. If we can run plays with Jose and Amare it will be a beautiful thing. Also I alwys wondered why woody didn't run more p n r with Melo and Amare. But let amare start and he produce at a high level this yr.
