This was an interesting thread for the first 3 or 4 pages, though. Couldn't be bothered to read the derailing. Anyway, aren't New Yorkers tough enough to handle Deron's opinions on the area?
I think the "New Yorkers are tough, or think they are tough" quote is great, because it's true. A lot of badasses turn chicken when you take them to an area without sidewalks. And when you have all this media (songs, movies, TV) blowing smoke up your butt about being the greatest city in the world, if you actually travel, you become aware that it's not necessarily the case in terms of certain aspects of quality of life.
Not everyone is cut out for this corner of the world. Maybe tough for the Nets PR to deal with — their Russian ownership should be giving them more fits I think — but at least he's talking like an adult with opinions and not just serving up whatever he thinks the fan base needs.

Actually I'd have to say you're question was answered. In a thread based on a net players comments, melo had to be brought up and yet again vilified. I agree that it is annoying but with that thread title you had to see it coming.
