It's time for Matt Simms to get a shot ... And release Vick ... Dude looks like a shell of his former self ... If we are going to be bad lets see what Simms has and get a great top five pick... And spend some money on receivers and d backs in the off season
I feel bad for Jet fans. They do everything backwards. Throughout camp all you heard them say was that it was a quarterback competition. It was anything but! They were 100% committed to Geno. Why? I don't understand for the life of me. It's not like he was a #1 pick you are investing years in.
Even if they were to go to Vick now, at 1-4 it is too late. They would have to change the entire offense. I like the idea to go with Simms and see what he can do. If it doesn't work out draft a QB in the first round and start over. They could've had Bridgewater this year.
I like Rex. He has his flaws in how he coddles players and poor game and clock/timeout management but the players love him and play hard for him. Idzik really screwed Rex.
Idzik had a terrible draft. He left $22mil on the table(maybe Woody is also to blame) They could've signed Revis or DRC. All we strive for is cap space and they did nothing with it. They don't deserve to be better than 1-4 and last in a bad division
Also Geno missed and meeting and was never reprimanded. That is inexcusable and is a testament to the dysfunction in the organization.
He was late because he went to the movies the night before the game lol
Lifelong Jet fan, love Rex hate Geno, though its not all his fault. Idzik has been waste. Same ol Jets.
Get rid of Rex first and foremost
Start building around Geno the right way

Yea idzik really did fail Rex and the team with not putting the pieces together to have a complete team with lots of play money... I don't see geno as a franchise qb but then again who can he throw the ball too... Play Simms and get a top 5 pick to draft a franchise qb.. Trade geno on draft day ... Get some wrs and DBS ... And this team might have something...

No way. You can't build around a guy who doesn't take his job seriously enough to show up to meetings. Your QB is suppose to be your leader by default

Exactly, Jets was my 2nd team, but ever since rex took over, he's been a joke, literally.
Geno is a back up at best, Vick looks like he doesn't give a sht,(im just here for a check)chris johnson looks lost, the D line, smh, O line, looks so ill prepared. why does this sound like another NY team I know.
I like Rex but not benching Geno for missing the meeting is a firable offense I just can't justify if they do wind up firing him
Don't fire Rex. How many headcoaches are you going to fire. He had great success when here when he had a real team on the field. Real talent albeit built by Mangini who everyone wanted fired as well. This collection of bums Idzik has put together is a joke. Actually only 2 of the draft picks are on the team right now

Listen he's in a growing pain type of situation
He's needs this year to work out the adversity
Put some offensive tools around him
There's no excuse for the blunders Rex has been a part of
Rex is too pro defense and has no regard for offense
And I quote "We could have had Joe Namath yesterday, it wouldn't have mattered"
Get rid of this clown
Rex is the Mike Woodson of the NFL
Needs to stay in his lane, which is defensive coordinator not head coach
Rex got them to 2 AFC championship games. Woodson lost in 6 games to an inferior team because he was outcoached and made fun of by Vogel
I agree that we need to manage our time on offense better also it's time for Chris ivory to get the bulk of the carries ... We need to give our defense a breather
The Jets have been getting beat on third down with their country blitz for the last 3 years which has killed the team. They said they are building through the draft but out of the last 36 draft picks 5 are with the team and only 1 really good player. There is no speed at WR. The offensive line has gotten old expensive and doesnt work well together. We never have a franchise type QB we patch everything and some of the teams players look like they want to be somehwere else.
To be honest this is case where the coach GM and players have to ve completely revamped.
I think you get better talent and Rex will be fine focusing on the D. You can't blame Rex for this pathetic collection of talent

Listening to Bill Cowher yesterday
Told me all I need to know
Offer him the job and let him have full control
Be for real about going after him this time
I think it's on idzik not Woody. Woody has spent before. He did for Favre. How does idzik leave $22m on the table with lack of talent. Leave some for Wilkerson and sign a CB

He's been out of the league for a while. I think he'd be the first coach to win a super bowl with a 2nd team. It never works
Geno still looks like the same player his senior year at West Virginia ... The o line looks very similar to that West Virginia team as well pitiful showing yesterday... We should really give Simms a shot what do we have to lose ...
The Jets had 12 draft picks. Only 5 made the roster. Only 2 are active. Why didn't idzik package the picks to move up for more talent. It proves he is not capable of picking talent. His major pick has been Geno who is worse than Sanchez. If you can't spot talent you shouldn't have a job as GM. Can him immediately
