If your a jet fan hope they lose rest of the season and get a franchise QB. New staff just out and out overhaul. They really need to stop getting other teams waste products draft, draft, draft.
JesseDark wrote:The frustrating part about Geno is all those interceptions were passes where the receiver was clearly covered. Where is his pump fake, his progression to secondary receiver?. As I was watching the replays of the interceptions I was looking for the receiver to be open, to see what Geno could have possibly been seeing, each time I came away with the same thing. The man was covered.
Izdyk through the interceptions you might
Want to watch those replays again
Geno was on the bench watching Izdyk meltdown in the 1st qrt
If we're going to draft a qb.... I want dak Prescott that kid is elite level hands down the most nfl ready qb in college football

The Jets don't necessarily need what is deemed a franchise QB
Look across the league and you see plenty
Barely above average QBs who have locked in
The starting position and their teams are doing okay
Hoyer/Fitzpatrick/Dalton/Tannehill/Foles/Orton
What all these QBs have are weapons
The Jets do not have 1 ELITE level weapon on the field
And haven't since Rex Ryan has been coaching
Because he doesn't highly value the other side of the ball
If the Jets have a Top 5 pick
You draft this guy and don't look back
Izdyk is rebuilding. Thats why they didnt spend. He just cant tell Jet fans that.

Agreed, also I really like Matt Simms and think he deserves a shot plus sak Prescott isn't coming out this year
cooper is amazing and harvin decker cooper and amaro would be a amazing wr core for years to come
Matt Simms should get the starting nod from here on out... Let's get our selfs a top 5 draft pick
Free Matt Simms!!! I am a Giant fan but I would actually follow them if they started Simm's boy.
Calvin Pryor--man can he get beat deep 1 more time this year? He's been very mediocre. If he wasnt hyped, he would be moved to nickel

He's covering for a historically bad secondary. They did not intend on using him this way. I would not write him off yet
This is what the Jets need to do--to go back to old school Jimmy Johnson or Bill Polian.
My QB is going to be atleast 6-4 225
My DB's will all run sub 4.5's with game skills
I want length agility and power on both my offensive and defensive lines
I don't want players with injury history
I want atleast two WR who are 6-3
I want my running back compact and durable
Then you set in place your scouting and FA plans and stick to BPA for each pick. Good teasm like the old Cowboys and the Colts get value throughout the draft. With how many picks the Jets haev made in the last two years and I think they drafted inn the first round 4 times--not to good. On top oif it they dedicated two years of PT to Geno Smith and who exactly has confidence in him right now? It certainly is NOT all of Geno's fault as our line play and WR have been just so porous. The Jets have so many F problems
Colt McCoy proved my point tonight
You don't need an Elite level QB to compete
But you do need to have weapons, good organization and limit mistakes

Agreed. Pryor is being forced into a role he wasnt suppose to be in because we have the worst secondary in the league. I think he will be beter once we get some actual NFL corners
