Tough turnover from Larkin....but this game was lost in the beginning of the 3rd quarter.....they have a lot to sort out

The hard pill to swallow on those figures

They are capable of doing this again

When the games count

Really? That's the take you have on a poor shooting night? Not that these players will more than likely shoot better than this on average? Geez! And y'all wonder why I talk about Self Hating Knick Fans. SMDH

What you don't get if they do this

Let's say 15 times out of 82gms[very realistic]

67gms they play mediocre/average/above average

That's probably the difference from being

An okay team to a bad team

Because they'll be their usual self

For the remaining regular season games

And not winning 50gms but more like 35gms

The site of JR and his face makes watching the knicks really hard for me

Talks to much. Glad he stopped with the stupid Cookie Monster goofy shit

Seriously.

It was brilliant. Left us with a fullcourt heave. 2secs

Fish is going to have to come out of retirement and be a player-coach this season.
gunsnewing @ 10/24/2014 10:05 PM
If I was Fisher I would make JR WATCH those 5mins in the 3rd during the next practice over and over in front of his teammates

A bad 3rd quarter, difficulty generating good shots at times and bad shooting by all our 2Gs is what did us in tonight....the poor 3rd quarter is gonna happen--it's the NBA--team's make runs-- but we regrouped to come back and take the lead. Everything else is fully correctable. I'm into this team--I think we can play a hell of a lot better than what we're seeing. You can see we're taking steps in the right direction...we almost pulled this out when just about everything was going wrong... STAT and JR are core guys--they each played poorly tonight but I think that was an aberration more than anything else. They had more than enough offense on the floor in the end, even w/o Melo--STAT, JR, Timmy, even Shane. No excuses--just had trouble gelling tonight. It'll come. I believe that..and it'll be fun to follow it all along to the point when it finally does start clicking.

Daly and Q each played GREAT -- that's my big takeaway from tonight's game. That and the fact that we brought excellent effort for a majority of the game. Keep showing the effort we saw in the 1st half and we'll be OK.

djsunyc @ 10/24/2014 10:14 PM
melo took 17 shots and had 0 assists. i don't think that's what phil was looking for from his $100 mil player.

the toughest thing this season is to get something out of amare + bargs + jr smith b/c right now, they are giving you guys basically nothing.

melo will get his points. i am a bit surprised by daly - he's actually made some decent passes from the high post. didn't know he had that in his game.

Splat @ 10/24/2014 10:15 PM
Emergency NBA Ruling:

Prior to the first game of the regular season, teams may condense all players at each position into a single player.

This means we'll be able to merge our positions as follows:

Jose, Pablo and Larkin become a single player called Pablo Crackeron

Melo, Acy and Jason Smith become Carmacyon

Sam and Cole are Coleslaw

JR, Timmy and Shump become Pump & Shump

Stat becomes DEFENDOR!

If Melo is the same old, same old, how could anyone expect this team to prosper?

The whole song and dance routine trumped up by Phil was that Melo could elevate his game, blah, blah, blah, triangle, blah, blah, blah.

I'll believe it when I see it. I don't expect Melo to evolve to any great degree.

crzymdups @ 10/24/2014 10:22 PM
I think the team looks pretty good.

Shumpert looks locked in. He just undressed Derozan in the second quarter. Just schooled him.

Acy, Dalembert, Larkin have been nice surprises.

Pablo looks confident in the offense.

Melo will be Melo, the offense seems to get him easier looks. He's scoring 27.5ppg per 36min in the Pre and scored 25.5 per 36min in the regular season last year.

Right now Amar'e and JR are my big concerns. And I hope Bargnani never plays again.

Really psyched you are posting again. It should be a great year.
gunsnewing @ 10/24/2014 10:25 PM
Melo will be fine. You don't want to compound the problem by playing JR AND Amare with him. I hope Fisher was just experimenting tonight.

Although I kinda hoped this was going to be a fine tuning game being the last preaseon game. I'm a bit worried about Fisher and his allegiance to JR AND AMARE
