Melo is taking too many jumpers, he needs to drive to the basket and earn his points from the foul line.

Kobe/Lin together is going to develop into some pretty awesome backcourt. It's nice that they're constantly talking about how to approach the next game and how to maximize their output as a unit. It seems that Kobe has been paying attention to what NY and Houston did with Lin.

Kobe and Coach Scott both want Lin to be Lin. He never had that in Houston. Coach Woodson didn't want Lin to be Lin. McHale didn't want Lin to be Lin. Lakers are only six games into their season and I feel that this unit is going to figure each other out at some point and connect in some crazy way that will make them win a string of games against the best and the worse.

I say that because it's not Kobe and Ronnie Price. It's Kobe and Jeremy Lin. Who, by the way, with Harden, was the third highest scoring Backcourt last season. Kobe knows it.

What a player Leonard is. So many attributes.

Sadly, even though Knicks and Lakers have bad records, the Lakers seem to have a better team than us. Kobe has lost a step or two. It took about 4-5 games for Kobe to accept this. He is now truly deferring to Lin for a good part of the game to get Lin going and then was picking his spot to take over when needed. It finally worked in the last game but it looks good. It also helped that Boozer finally made some shots.

Just watched the Lakers victory over Charlotte.

I have to say the media portrayal of the Lakers as a hopeless roster just isn't true. They have way more talent than the Knicks for instance.

Lin played like an All-Star. Excellent, very under control, very efficient scoring, clean distributions, just a really good game.

Jordan Hill isn't bad. Boozer was very hot and looked good. Kobe deferred enough to allow the other guys to get hot.

They won't win a ring, but they are not the worst team in the league at all. They have a couple of young guys who look like they may be pieces too.

yes. They looked very impressive while Charlotte looked terrible.

What I liked is the fire and energy that the lakers had.

Sixers are going to sign Robert Covington. They will need to waive someone.

The Lakers are atrocious and have to keep it up so they forfeit their first-rounder to Phoenix. That team literally won't stay in games and has no long-term talent. The Knicks aren't any good, but are in much better position than the Lakers now.

To be fair the Knicks don't have any young player with the upside of Julius Randle (injury and all that aside).

Raptors with the best record- however their schedule has been pretty easy: Hawks, magic, heat(loss), decimated OKC, Celtics, Wizards, 76ers, Magic.

He's so bad and what makes it worse

Shaw's not running the triangle and hasn't for 2 seasons

Neither is Kerr heavily[who I thought would]

Sorry but that team just isn't very good. Gallinari is a shell of his former self, Lawson doesn't look good, McGee blows, etc. What coach could make that team work? This isn't the Nuggets squad of a couple years ago that guys seem to lionize.

Also, IMO the whole "coaching tree" thing is ridiculously overblown IMO. What coach wins in the NBA without stars and/or a cohesive team of good players who play well together simply because they were mentored by some legendary coach?

To be fair, Shaw seems like an amazing assistant coach. You saw what he did for Indiana while he was there and what happened to them last season after he left. Some guys though are just not head coach material but do have utility in other capacities.
