Brandon Jennings "SHOWING OUT" again
3rd 30+pt game this month and his shooting % isn't bad
A little too much chuckery still but he's getting it done
SVG made a hilarious comment about his game the other day
SVG is really becoming a miracle worker of sorts, Drummond beasted too
^^^Knicks should have drafted Jenninfs over Hill. Dantoni, despite desperately needing a point guard did not want a guy that needed to grow up and might be a bit brash and need mentoring.
Waiters looks great tonight. Could be a great fit for OKC.

Waiters is really good. I don't watch a lot of college basketball but I watch Cuse. Waiters was a scapegoat on the cavs. He still brought it when he got minutes but moving on was good for him. He isn't harden but he gives OKC a ton of talent off the bench. Really happy for him. Hope the Knicks didn't avoid him because he doesn't fit the character club qualifications. He would have been a huge talent upgrade on the Knicks.

I vouched for looking into acquiring him earlier
mreinman snuffed at my idea of doing so
But once had his value even when Shump was still bad
This year he didn't even have Austin Rivers value
Just a travesty of a year by Phil and Fisher

The amazing thing is the Cavs wanted Shump and JR. Waiters would be on the books next year but he makes less than JR. Knicks didnt have a first rounder to give in the deal but it seems like something could have been worked out. Sometimes you mess up passing on really good because you are waiting on better. Waiters super cheap is the kind of deal I think the Knicks need to explore.

You're ignoring his performance up until these past few games, CrushAlot- he's on a hot streak, but he's still a diabolical shooter, who usually has a detrimental impact on his team.

What OKC get out of Waiters is going to be different than what we would have gotten out of him. Until we get our culture right and out player development right, and some smart, vets in, there's no use trying to acquire work-in-progress players like Waiters- it's just not going to end well.

Says the man who wants to trade a future first for Wilson Chandler. The reason the 1st went to Cavs, was because at the heart of it the trade was Waiters to OKC for a 1st. We then offloaded JRs contract to them, and the cost of that was giving up Shump. We could have moved Shump in a separate deal for maybe a late 1st at best, or a second rounder, but it was decided we needed to banish Smith for culture reasons and cap space.

I have always thought he was the more talented player in that spot. Obviously Lawson and Holiday went later in the draft and have a better resume but at the time of the draft Jennings was considered the better prospect. He always plays great against the Knicks.

He does play great against us, but I'm really not a fan of his at all- outside of this hot streak and the Knick games, he's looked pretty awful

Yeah he just seemed like the guy on draft night. For years Jennings good play against the Knicks was credited to his getting back at them for the draft night snub.
I didn't see the Lakers game but Lin is getting a lot of bad press today.
CrushAlot wrote:I didn't see the Lakers game but Lin is getting a lot of bad press today.
I thought the Lakers would be a perfect landing spot for him, but he's continued to fluctuate between poor and average. At this point it's looking like he is what he is- a 20min backup. I'd still like to trade Bargs for him at the deadline, not because I'm that bothered about him, but just to see if he can play the triangle

In a draft so full of PG, I still can't believe that we (who's primary need was PG) went with Jordan Hill- it annoys me to this day!

If Phil does his job this summer with pick and cap space
A 2018 pick really won't factor heavily into our success
But $7mil more cap space next year or the year after most certainly could

because his numbers and style/psyche scream STINKY
That stinks. Also makes the Nate Wolters move look a little worse.
Houstons got problems. GS blowing them out. They look a bit exposed
GS looks ridiculous
Losing out on Kerr will set us back for many years.
