New Orleans not re-signing Nate Wolters. He seems to have quite the fan base here; you've got a second chance.

for example, scott brooks deserves credit for instilling a work ethic and culture in okc over the years but after the first 2-3 years, it became apparent that okc starting winning despite brook's coaching b/c of how good westbrook + durant were. this is not a knock on brooks but a realization that some coaches can do certain things and some can't.

this applies to dwayne casey and the raptors. at some point there needs to be a realization that be it a player or coach have certain limitations and i believe the raptors have now come to that point with casey. we have been winning games despite casey this year and our record has masked some serious fundamental flaws in both our offensive approach and in game management. it's very easy to criticize when teams are losing...but in a galaxy far far away on a raptors forum, i've been critical of casey all year b/c the fundamental way we play will not translate to postseason success. and our record against .500 or better teams is an example of it.

Didn't they just extend him?

he's on the 1st year of a 3 year deal. but ujiri hired all his assistants last season.

Who would you cut? Bargs? Amare? or wait until the trade deadline first?

OKC just extended Nick Collinson deal 2yr $7.5m.

He is having a down yr and at 34 it is doubtful he is going to improve but you never know. Maybe they know something about the cap because they are going to be over the expected cap which will take them out of FA.

that is so damn strange. He is having an awful year ... maybe he is good friends with KD?

I don't get what OKC are doing anymore

BRIGGS @ 2/4/2015 10:21 PM
O J Mayo clutch--la had that.
BRIGGS @ 2/4/2015 10:46 PM
Hassan Whiteside tonight--only missed one 20 footer. was 12/13 24-20 3 blocks.
BRIGGS @ 2/4/2015 10:50 PM
Minnesota won brings us to 1 game out of the 1st position again. The Lakers who have been dropping back and are only 3 games better than us---completely blew it--all they had to do was foul and they let up a 3 ball with less than 1 second.
BRIGGS @ 2/5/2015 7:56 AM
Steph Curry 51 last night. This is why I like Tyler Harvey--its hard to be a volume 3 point shooter yet still shoot well above 40% and he certainly can play PG(and hes 6-4) I see Harvey as a Curry type player.--even something 70% would be really good.
NumberTwoPencil @ 2/5/2015 2:50 PM
Yup, 70% of Curry would a near all-star player. That game last night. Dallas ain't bad, though they missed Rondo's defense last night but . . . GS is a healthy Bogut (or an energized Ezeli or Lee) away from being a one of the all time great teams. With any luck, they will be able to swap Lee (or maybe Barnes and Lee) for a solid inside guy or two. I kept wanting to see Chandler switch sides last night . . . just to see what GS could do with a shot-blocking big guy. I love Dramond Greene but Greene along with someone like Chandler would transform GS from great team to amazingly great.

Rajon ain't helping Dallas. Opposite as the Tyson trade was for them, the Rondo trade was/is/will be a monumental disaster.

smackeddog @ 2/5/2015 4:08 PM
Magic coach has been fired, Skiles rumoured to take over at the all star break. Hopefully the go on a new coach winning streak- they're getting close to us in the tank stakes.

20 games, you are making a declaration after 20 games. Nice.

No. I am basing this on his play over the last 4 years which has been pretty awful.

holfresh @ 2/5/2015 9:38 PM
JR playing great ball in his role..
yellowboy90 @ 2/6/2015 9:44 PM
atl putting on a show versus GSW. Get ready for an angry team tomorrow.
NumberTwoPencil @ 2/6/2015 10:30 PM
That Atlanta-GS game was strange. The first half was fairly even but GS seemed in control. The second half was all Atlanta but . . . I couldn't figure out what Atlanta was doing differently. Bogut got tired? Strange game. GS looked more frustrated than I've seen them . . . Curry and Thompson played nice games, Greene was solid, Livingston looked good, but somehow Atlanta stopped GS's inside game completely in the second half.
CrushAlot @ 2/6/2015 11:03 PM
The Lakers are bringing Davis, Lin, Boozer, and Young off the bench. Seems like this is blatant tanking.

Hopefully McAdoo gets some minutes and then golden state waives him. Seems like a prospect worthy of getting time with the Knicks if he becomes available.

Good- I don't like the Warriors! I wish I'd watched this game- this season, every non-Knicks game I've chosen to watch has been a 20 point blowout!
