Let me guess. Lots of the same guys who call people Melo haters are Lin haters. Just a hunch

Nice game for him. He was having a horrible March shooting just 30% from the field prior to beating the Sixers. I have been following a thread on Shved on Clutchfans. There is a similar thread on Lin there that is quite long that I check in on. It shoukd be interesting to see what is posted there today.

Was just looking at the box scores in Newsday and saw the one from this Philly/Lakers game this past Sunday -- MONSTER game for Lin. Wow. I'm telling ya man -- this guy's still very much on my radar for a PG upgrade. Let's see what's out there -- if Phil comes to the realization that there's nothing better out there, I'd take this guy back in a heartbeat. He thrived here & people loved him. I think he'd be welcomed back with open arms and he'd be agreeable to return. The only thing is getting Dolan on board. I think Dolan may still hold some animosity toward Lin for the way the Houston thing went down. F that -- get over it, Jimmy! it's a business, right? Aren't you a business man?!? I'm over it -- yeah it stung like a M Fer but what was the kid supposed to do there, turn down that kind of money?!? No way -- I wouldn't have, you wouldn't have, and you know what--Jim Dolan wouldn't have either! Isn't this fool on the verge of raising his Cablevision prices AGAIN?!? What's the difference??? And how 'bout this -- Dolan continues to charge top dollar to all his fans that continue to pack out the Garden night after night to watch a product that's been ABYSMAL beyond words to say the least. God forbid Jimmy did something for his fans this year -- free tix to another game, 50% off tix to a future game...Something...But no, not Jimmy Dolan. Not even a free taco at Taco Bell if they score over 100 pts. NOTHING! UGATZ!!! If Phil finds that this is the best PG upgrade out there--he needs to convince Dolan of that and Dolan needs to get on board with it. Case closed...I wouldn't want Jimmy Dolan and his nonsense holding up a good backcourt upgrade like this...And who knows, maybe Lin doesn't look to break the bank on us this time--maybe he'd chose to take a little less to come back and be the starting PG as part of the Knicks' turnaround, in a place that gave him his shot. Who knows...And if not, I can't picture him being that expensive -- nowhere near the poison pill deal he signed with Houston...I think he'd play very well here again. He'd be a HUGE upgrade over Langston Galloway. Not trying to take anything away from Galloway--he played decent again last night--but the truth of the matter is that Lin's a starting caliber PG in this league and a TRUE PG -- Galloway isn't, on both counts. Just reading that the Lakers plan to reinsert Lin into their starting lineup...I know we need all sorts of frontcourt help and I agree -- but you can't tell me we're OK with a starting backcourt of Galloway/Shved for next year. Two good finds, granted (esp. Shved) but if we're serious about winning, we're gonna need to upgrade the backcourt as well.

This performance was classic Linsanity. He's still got it in him. When this guy decides to go after it and play aggressive, he's BIG TIME. What did Langston Galloway do against Ish Smith/Isaiah Canaan recently? Nothing. Lin DESTROYED them!

Midrange, penetration, throwback player. You fit nice with Phil Jackson's 69-73 Knicks

based on this year alone, Lin is not worth more than 3 million.

Hope you're right but who knows -- he could wind up getting a salary starting anywhere in the $5-8mm range, depending on competition for his services (suppose he gets reinserted in the Lakers' starting lineup and has a few more games like he did this past Sunday. Then suppose the Lakers really want him back and are willing to up the ante). Being an UFA will help him -- he'll be able to go back and forth to all the different teams before settling on the best offer for him. More of a choice to go where he wants to. Unless he feels bad for how things went here and decides to come back at a fair market price and not go for an overinflated price elsewhere. That's if we show interest -- I think we should -- he could help us and the price shouldn't be the moon and the stars this time hopefully...Here's hoping the Knicks and Lin give either other some consideration and that the price doesn't balloon too high.. If we focus a lot of our time, energy and money into reshaping the frontcourt, Lin's a guard more in our price range that should be able to help our backcourt.

I don't really think that it smart to judge a player based on small stretches / samples especially when they have been playing for a number of years and you can judge them by a much larger samples.

Lin can have good/great stretches and we have all seen that. What we have also see is that his full scope / resume is kind of weak overall and he has not performed any where close to deserving a contract > 3 maybe 4 million.

I love Lin and for me, he run here was from the most exciting moments in knicks history. Still can't overrate a player because you really like them.

It would help if he went to a team that did not have a primadonna. Melo, Kobe , even Harden acted like one last year. Also Mchale and Scott misuse him. Very unimaginative prehistoric coaches

Boston, Sacramento, and hopefully SA(after the Knicks get Joseph) could all use Lin. Utah would be a great spot for lin too. What I think might hurt Lin value is that coaches talk and it seems like his coaches do not value him. "He is a nice guy and good locker room guy but I think he is a Back up" seems to be the narrative around Lin right now. Plus he is at his best being the ball dominate guard and there are only a few places that will offer him that opportunity.
