Knicks · Through 4 games (page 1)

Appreciate how the team has played. I thought 1-3 and we're 2-2. Weve had moments but just like pre season--this team cant score enough points

Biggest disappointment so far--THJ--obviously this is a small sample but I really thought tHJ was ready for 30 minutes and to expand his game.
Best surprise Shumpert--has been our best two way player.

Calderon will help the team with some more scoring when he comes back but he also gives up on the D. So far I thought Larkin and Pablo have played decent at the top on that end.

knickscity @ 11/4/2014 10:05 PM
Even though I have some complaints early on, I wont because the team is ahead of my personal record.....I had them 0-4, so no worries here.
Splat @ 11/4/2014 10:20 PM
Enjoy the good times

So far so good, haven't felt this happy about the Knicks since before the melo trade, at least we were building something then with Walsh until Jimmy blew that up. Seems like Phil has us going forward again, hope Dolan stays away this time and let's face it he probably won't but w/e.
Knixkik @ 11/4/2014 11:08 PM
Split against 4 playoff teams, really can't complain. Getting Calderon back will really help too.
nixluva @ 11/5/2014 12:59 AM
Considering the major change in style of play they've been pretty good. We must take into consideration this team is making cosmic changes in culture which are not easy to do. For the most part there's been progress and that's without Jose running the show for a good 30 minutes a night. Trust me it makes a difference. Most of our issues are on offense.

When they execute you can see how much better they look so being able to stay focused and having proper execution is paramount. We don't have a lot of dependable players so Fish has to make changes just to squeeze good minutes out of guys. The good news is they can only get better with guys coming back and more reps together in this system.

I m enjoying the game again myself. I just see the Knicks as a team still trying to stay consistent every night. Quarter to quarter even. They have to stop thinking and play. There were some sequences Last night against the wizards where the Knicks looked unguardable. They can't let teams aggression take them out of games. Every team is going to make a run. They have to weather that storm and stick to what they are supposed to be doing. Pass and go. They will get it. Nothing to worry about at this point.
jrodmc @ 11/5/2014 8:25 AM
Stupid IsoMelo in the 3rd and 4th quarters blew up my 81-1 gamepicker!
Shump and Prigs hitting 3's late got us to within 6 and then it all fell apart because we couldn't stop anyone or stop turning the ball over.
Cole Alrich hitting the underside of the rim. Man, that was painful to even listen to, let alone watch.

I hate Paul Pierce.

I hate Paul Pierce too. if he's not in this game the Knicks come back in win, he hit multiple 3's late in the game to fend off the knicks' comeback. he's the mvp of this win for them.

dk7th @ 11/5/2014 9:05 AM
hate paul pierce because he's a knick killer? he's a hall of famer, a finals mvp, and chronically underrated. great footwork, great passer, cluuutch playmaker. what's not to like? i wish he were a knick.

Yes, of course, that's the main reason to love and admire PP. You forgot the bowing and blowing kisses.

Did you ever ebay your Reggie Miller jersey?

he's holding onto that one. Its behind glass on the wall next to his Gallo posters.

Even though he is still as erratic as ever, I got the feeling Shump was the only Knick who truly had his head in the game in the 4th quarter. He basically led the team to their win against the Cavs too.

Whatever else is going on, just noting Shump's role has not been minor thus far. He was not all that great in the other two games and he was downright gunshy against Charlotte, but at least someone is showing leadership on the court at the end of (some) games.

yeah scary. Shumpert is our most reliable and cohesive player.

oy vey!

Shump is the Knicks best player
The MVP

I wish he was the one making $124 million. He deserves it

jrodmc @ 11/5/2014 10:41 AM
You really need to use the smilies.

Maybe $100M is more appropriate. That way Shump can leave some money on the table to re-sign Amare.

Through 4 games, we know for a fact that the Cavs are a terrible team and Lebron has lost his talents forever- they need to blow it up.

cavs will probably end up winning it all. He who sleeps on the cavs is ...

gonna need some time to gel just like Miami needed.

Remember when Spolestra almost lost his job and the team?
