Im sorry... total BS. This is not suspendable
So he swings his arm that low for what reason? He was clearly trying to hit him. Stop making excuses for him
A normal person would just swing the off arm to slap Rice's hands away if JR felt particularly crowded. Maybe he was trying to elbow him in the gut?
Either way, dumb move.
Enjoy the bench, JR! Hopefully you can cheer THJ into some defense tonight.
Brainless idiot. Will never ever learn and brings it all upon himself. Going to be very tough to trade but trade him we should.

Exactly. That was not a basketball move. It was a cheap shot.
Yup, it looked like a cheap shot when it happened but I'm surprised he drew a suspension.
I'm not convinced it was intentional. It certainly wasn't worth a game.
He punched him in the balls. Video leaves no doubt. Guy is a tool.

Yeah what purpose did swinging his arm
Like that serve other than to get a cheapy in
I have absolutely no respect for guy who hits another guy in the balls.

Neither do I, but at the same time, the way people are reacting to this I'm starting to wonder if they ever watched the Knicks in the 90s.

Sure. Different times. Other than personal tastes regarding sportmanship, the only criteria that should matter in regards to JR maintaining his professional obligations to the team is limiting behavior that will get him suspended.
He is a multiple repeat offender so there is no reason to feel any sympathy for him, regardless of whether Oak used to pulverize opposing ballsacs into dust with a forearm shiver.
What was leading up to it? The ref might have heard the smack talk and maybe JR said "I'll bust your nuts", or some other nonsense that is no big deal but could implicate his intent. If they have been jawing it up, then the intent might be clarified.
The league usually does take its game suspensions pretty seriously. What we don't know is how much rope JR does NOT have as his history is not that great, and...........Perhaps the knicks would have sat him anyway and might have asked for the suspension.
In the lockeroom its a distraction and not seen as funny, its seen as a selfish act. Bring back Nate!!!

At least when you bench Nate, you'll get 44 points when he returns
dirty play by a knuckleheaded tool.
I cant wait until he is gone. I kept saying signing him for more than 1 year is a mistake. Unfortunetly every other nba team is smart enough to stay away so he'll probably pick up his player option
I know it's not a popular stance, but I like JR, probably against my better judgement!

Where's Chris Smith when you need him most
