Exactly

There are only a few players who are undeniably better, the rest are just personal perference. I don't think anyone can argue that fact.

You do realize that over the past three years Melo finished second in scoring twice and also led the league in scoring.

Oh, he doesn't play defense; oh, he doesn't lead the team in rebounds; oh, stop it already. He is one of the three premier scorers in the entire world!

Let me ask you. You are on the playground court choosing sides. You know one of the guys with his back against the fence is one of the three the best scorers in the entire world. You ain't taking him as one of your five?

are we choosing scorers or players?

and is "scorer" defined by the unadjusted numbers of points scored?

if I was in a playground, I would probably choose kareem even though he could barely run at this point. Why you ask? Because he scored so many points in his career.

It's hilarious that people would trade Melo for Drummond.

Just on basis of age you take Drummond (who I don't think is even 22 yet).

So right now there is a freshman killing it in NCAA Division I. Just on the basis of age you would take him over Melo?

Age? Building the best team right now is based on the player's performance, get this, RIGHT NOW!
Right now Melo can help your team a lot more than Drummond.

I see Melo helping this team a lot...
He can drop baskets!!!!!~

Here is a suggestion for Jim Dolan--this is how you should bring in Melo to your MSG each night.

NumberTwoPencil @ 11/14/2014 3:58 AM
I <3 Klay Thompson but I wouldn't put him in my top five, maybe my top 15 or so. He's good, really good, but I think his role at GS is perhaps the best he's going to find.

Um, I know he's ancient and slow but, whoa, Tim Duncan can still win ball games. He was certainly better than Bogut the other night when the SAS took GS apart. He's no longer a top five player but he's still a top 20 player. I'd also include Tony Parker in my top 20.
