Knicks · List of younger players we could potentially target this yr in trade in East(ILL do west tomorrow) (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 11/18/2014 12:14 AM
Brooklyn--I do not see us having transactions here no matter what
Toronto--Nothing that will be available to us
Miami--nothing available to us
Boston--I do not see them trading any young asset for anything less than a premium asset--the only thing could happen would be if the C's liked either one of Shumpert or Hardaway a lot and we liked one of their guys--but the match is not really there
Philly--they have two of the same type of PG Wroten and Williams--I cant see the co-exsist so one of those guys might be available
Chicago--I don't see it
Clev--I think tristan Thomspn and Dion Waiters both could be available--not sure TT is worth it for what he wants in salary and Waiters might just be a young version of JR Smith.
Milwaukee Henson Middleton Wolters all seem to be duplicates with less PT.
Indiana--I dont see it right now with all of their injuries
Charlotte--since grabbing Vonleh--I think Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo could become available
Atlanta--MIke Muscala
Orlando Andrew Nicholson
Detroit--Spencer Dinwiddie Tony MItchell
Wash Glenn Rice

I know you were high on Muscala coming out of the draft. Looking at his scouting report out of college he seems like a very good fit for the Tri.

Wroten, any of the Bucks guys, Nicholson, and Rice aould be of interest to me. Novody else jumps out as somebody I would want when considering what the asking price may be.
NardDogNation @ 11/18/2014 10:00 AM
I've taken a shine to Dion Waiters. I think he'd look good without a dominant ballhandler in the backcourt and would allow us to make Shumpert-THJr available. I think that Shumpert would definitely be sent to CLE and if we could get then a center they want (either on our team or someone elses) that the deal would have a chance.

What about draft picks? Can we consider them to fit the description of "young players"? And if they can, is there anyway for us to weasle a 2015 pick from one of these teams? The Hornets come to mind as an easy candidate.

You left out Brandon Knight on the Bucks

Do they really have the market to overspend on him

This is a great point. Baring a fundamental change in how the league is run, the Bucks and Twolves have always been glorified farm teams.

He'd be my top target///// although Jackson is comparable

OKC more than likely ponies up the money for him

I was thinking depending how the season goes for both

Calderon/Shump/Smith/Smith[not interested in paying Shumpert long term money]

4

Knight/Bayless/Illyasova[shave a little salary while landing a top tier FA pg]

Do you think it would be a waste of money to pursue both Knight and Jackson? Both are combo guards, so I think they could play together pretty well. And Knight is 6"4' so I don't think he'd have any problems defending SGs.

Rivers really has improved this season. I had my doubts about him but thought that he was a smart enough kid to inevitably figure it out.

smackeddog @ 11/19/2014 10:10 AM
In my dreams Chicago decided it doesn't want to give Butler the money, so they trade him to us for a cheaper option (Shump).

In reality, we don't really have many assets to trade- Just Shump (if he keeps this play up) and Tim Jr. I think JR Smith can be moved in a neutral kind of a deal.
