I would say anyone could be shifted sans Ok4 who is clearly #1.
I'd go with this - with the following style comparisons in parentheses.
#1 Okafor (Duncan)
#2 Mudiay (Penny Hardaway)
#3 Towns (Al Jefferson)
4# Harrell (Ben Wallace)
5# McCullough (Amare Stoudemire)
6# Russell (Steph Curry)
7# Levert (Jamal Crawford)
8# Winslow (Ron Artest)
9# Stein (Tyson Chandler)

Ok4 does remind me of Tim Duncan on offense--perhaps a little better at the same stage. If you can remember however Tim Duncan(who was a 17 year old freshmen) was a great college shot blocker and awesome rebounder and that translated over to the NBA. Ok4 has the goods to be a solid rebounder but hes not on Duncan level there. I dont see him as an NBA shot blocker either. But this kid is going to be a 25-8-4 assist PF/C in the nBA in his prime. You could probably play him at the 4. Actually if you were able to pair Kaminsky with Ok4 on the same team---I think you'd be all set up the middle for quite some time. Boy I hope we have some luck.

I agree. The comparisons are just a rough guide. To me, McCullough is the biggest wildcard in the draft. It should be interesting to see how his stock moves.

I think you have to see the whole season before anyone is a lock OTHER than OK4. I think Ok4 is a lock number 1 pick. Darn trouble is that Id like to see Kentuckys big men play 30-35 minutes each a few games. Hope and pray we get pick 1 and then we wont have to do guesswork.
yea Kentucky has 3 potential blue chip bigs in Towns, Dakari & Stein. You wanna make sure you get the right one. You think Philly takes Ok4/Towns even with Embid & Noel?
You gotta take the best player available. You don'the wanna be that guy who took Sam Bowie over Jordan. I like Noel's potential, but I don'the see him ever gaining the tag of franchise player and Emily has question marks regarding his health. Maybe the 76ers trade down?

Kaminsky will be tough for us to get. He will be a mid to late first round pick most likely. I don't see us buying a pick high enough to get him, yet don't see us drafting him top 10.

Absolute best case scenario for us
We win the lottery and take Ok4
We use our 2017#1 in a trade and cash to pick up a mid range pick and grab one of Dakari Johnson Frank Kaminsky or Willie Stein.
Even if we did nothing else our frontcourt would make us playoff contenders for the next 10++ years.

Can't trade our 2017 pick since we already traded 2016 for Bargnani
Do we have our 2018 1st?
KEEPCAMBYNY wrote:If we get a top 3 pick, Phil will take Mudiay imo. He is basically a more athletic Clyde Frazier type of player, no way does Phil let that get by us.
Forget Phil, there is no way the owner would bypass a Tim Duncan type player who is 6-11 270 for a 6-5 guy. Mudiay could be the next Larry Hughes. Ok4 is going to score 23-25 points every night in the post for 10-15 years. You don't do guesswork there--you go with the no brainer which will become more apparent as the season goes on. Mudiay is going to take 2-3 years to develop on top of it. That is the beauty of pick 1.

i was only asking because i wondered how many times youve seen the guys play. i havent seen ok4 once yet, but i have seen towns. off initial gut feeling.. towns is going to be good but he's going to take a pretty long time to develop, not as quickly as anthony davis. demarcus cousins took a while too. ill see ok4 and see what i think.
I've seen Ok4 being compared to Cousins actually. Cousins came in with a polished offensive game. He is a beast now that he matured. Both have the same build and height too. Like Cousins I'm not sure if he is a C or PF but that shouldn't be an issue since he is so polished offensively. Need to see how he rebounds. Not overly impressed with his rebounding so far but if he improves than people will start comparing him to Duncan. Also at 6'11 270 you gotta monitor his weight. Will he balloon to 300 or will he turn that baby fat into lean muscle
hmmm... when last have the kings made the playoffs?

Don't take Oka4 because he is compared to Cousins? Serious shortsightedness.
1. Cousins is a bone head.
2. Sac drafted badly before and ofter.
3. they might make it this year.

How does it help your team to take the best player available, that's not building a team, that's collecting assets, like phili drafting Noel, and embiid, or miny draft flynn and rubio. Do you see how that's turning out, no direction. In order to draft a player that's going to have an immediate impact, you have to draft a player that fits in your system. Grabbing any player just because of talent is stupid and short sighted, every player in the draft has talent.

I think you have to watch Ok4 to understand what is so special about him for this team. First off hes an in shape 270 pounds with a 7-5 wingspan around 6-10. He's huge he has huge hands that are soft and his fundamentals for a big are just off the charts in terms of footwork soft touch passing using the glkass9whoi even does that anymore?) I like him as a pure 4 who could move over to 5 but Id rather get a 5 who is true 7 feet. Ok4 in his prime has the ability to be a 25/28-10-4-1.5 55%. In 36 minutes adjusted at 1 years old hes already on a faster pace than Tim Duncan at the same age sans blocked shots. This is a lock shot no brainer

You take best player available then the pieces that don't match you move them for other pieces that match allowing you to maintain the value. When the Magic landed the top pick in the draft 2 yrs in a row. They took Shaq they yr before then traded Webber for Hardaway and other assets. If they just drafted Hardaway they wouldn't have been able to get the extra assets they got when they were able to trade Webber for Hardaway.
Philly can always move Noel or Embild and land a very good player or multiple more assets and balance out the team.
