Knicks · Daily News Melo's knee is fcked up (page 1)

For the love of God sit him down. The only disaster that can make this year bad so to speak is IF Melo sustains and injury that clogs his career. We need Melo to take off the rest of the year to refresh his body for the next 4. he has 0 value now other than staying healthy.

I told you his vacation is coming.

They plant the media story first. It's all in progress now.

Combine the losses from the touch schedule the rest of this month with a 2015 Melo vacation and this tank will be unstoppable.

"According to one advanced metric, Anthony has struggled thus far on defense. He is last among 78 NBA small forwards in defensive real plus-minus. The stat measures a player's estimated on-court impact on team defensive performance, based on points allowed per 100 defensive possessions."

I said Melo is not a good player. Who can argue with that statistic?

NardDogNation @ 12/10/2014 2:01 AM
Does any of this remind anyone else of the Bernard King- Patrick Ewing situation? Didn't we end up with Patrick due to King blowing out his knee?

It'd be kind of ironic because Melo's game/role is similar to King's, playing the elderstatesmen role and if we play our cards right, we'll be set to draft a game-changing big like Jahlil Okafor aka Patrick Ewing. Feels like history repeating itself a little, don't it?

Nobody does paid vacations like the Knicks. They should use this as a selling point to FAs. Ask Amare, Tyson, Jerome James, Eddie Curry, etc, etc, etc.

In all seriousness, I really hope they sit him for the rest of the year. Let the tank start rolling down hill.

the knicks play poor defense and without heart. the fish rots from the head down. no team can afford to pay 124 million for a one-way player and hope to succeed. suck yes suck-seed no

Melo is what he is. His stregth is scoring and he also is a pretty good rebounder however the other aspects in the game are id say up and down. Thats a pretty fair assessment of melo.

not at 124 million dollars is that a pretty fair assessment. that contract is an abomination!

Any predictions on what Melo's health will be like by his sixteenth season?

He's a scorer who chases his own shots for boards. That's what he is. Not much else.

That he can be more when he wants to be is even more damning than saying he can't do more.

He's a scorer. He got paid. He brings nothing else to the table.

End of story.

F500ONE @ 12/10/2014 9:45 AM
I think Phil is so selfish asking Melo

To do more when he's already given back $1.4mil of his salary

How much more abuse can 1 man take
