Knicks · Knicks now 2nd worst record by 1 1/2 (page 1)

Season is now 1/3 rd done. What you like is that they can stay somewhat competitive in many games although realistically most teams do. With the 2nd worst record==we'd be almost assured of a top 3 pick and 28mm in FA$ at a minimum--maybe we cna still trade out contracts. But the silver lining is we can improve quickly and aggressively

The 5 best players on my fantasy football team would beat The Knicks at their own game. it's just sad.

At least we're excelling at something!

Top 3 pick, cap space - plenty of reason to start being optimistic about the long term.

I'll take my short term losses if I build a path for the next 5 years to be truly competitive.

Yes, lost the battle (this season) to win the war!!

What is the war? Draft a franchise cornerstone and have cap space to make trades/sign free agents.
Its a talent upgrade. That need be teh objective.

1. think longer term
2. Have a system of play and stick to it.
3. Losses are not a shock to the plan.

If these three factors are in play we are changing the culture of the team. Its not with words, its with tangible and quantifiable!!!!

A lot season to go.

Im worried Andrea will return and ruin our season by playing up to his potential!!!LOL

+1
And I just know somehow, we're going to get Felton back. We haven't had any good fat jokes this season.

Word. Same here. In fact, I see this "losing a ton of close games" as the perfect approach to this season. The guys are fighting for almost wins, providing entertainment value while preserving losses to maximize our potential for next season. What else could a patient Knick fan ask for? It's all according to plan.

Sixers blew a 18pt lead with 7min to go

Against the Memphis Grizzlies strong message to the rest of the league

We're in a 3 way tie with 5 wins. You basically have to look at the win column. More losses just means we played more games.

I look at the losses before wins

Because it means a team can control their own destiny

You can't undo losses already in the books

If games remain teams have control over what they can do

To this I say/////

Man, Bonn1997 you're really down in the dumps this season- what would it take to give you any hope for the future? What happened to that IT homer that used to rejoice at every trade Isaiah pulled off?

i agree- it's the best of both worlds, we get slightly entertaining games, but still finish with the loss to help our lottery chances. What will finish me off though is a second half of the season rally, like last year, or due to freak chance we end up falling to the 5th or 6th spot.

Were a little more explosive with Hardaway at SG and Amare at C(although their playing him too many minutes and he's starting to show signs of overuse) + we changed the offense a tad so we may catch teams off guard. BUt at the end of the day there is 48 minutes in each game--more than enough time to get us. When Melo goes down holy high hell watch out were the worst team in the league. The problem is will we alos play Carmelo into the ground? Hes our ENTIRe savings bank---too much risk playing him more than 32 minutes right now.
