Don't fall forthe cliche crap the media and Bargs haters tell you. The potential for Bargs to play well is always there. Did you know that he shot 48% from 2pt range last year? It wasn't even a particularly good year for him and he still was one of our better scorers in the midrange. He's a better player than Jason Smith and if you think that won't make a difference then you're not paying attention. Bargs isn't great but he'd be an improvement on this roster. It may take some time for him to get in mid season form, but he would be an improvement.

All those 2s were dunk attempts

Hopefully he'll play well enough so we can trade him for an unprotected 2016 first round pick and a second rounder...

the sad part is toronto was trying to give him away for nothing or even amnesty him and we are the only organization dumb enough to give value for him

I can see it now....A line up of Calderon,THJR,MELO,AMare, Bargs worse defensive lineup in the NBA

I don't understand why we gave up the pick, but whats even more confusing is why the heck we, once again, didn't put any protection on the pick- we ARE THE ONLY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE THAT DOES THIS! It gets me so angry! How did we not learn from the eddy Curry debacle? We traded 2 unprotected first back then. Then we traded essentially 2 unprotected firsts for Melo. BRAINDEAD!!!!!!!

because we are a dumb organization. Hate to say that because knicks are my favorite sports teams but since 2000 most of our roster moves have been both laughable and infuriating

No point to belaboring the trade for Bargs. Previous regime and it's spilled milk. The Knicks have to see what he can do in this system and if he can improve his value any. It might make it easier to use him in a deal if he can look good in the system. He's still 7ft with some talent and only 29. Whatever repair to his rep can be done it makes sense to try and do it. You just never know what another GM might be willing to do as the playoff race gets tighter. Just when you think there's no one who would make a deal someone gets hurt and teams get desperate.

But it's BEYOND dumb! Dumb is trading a first round pick for Bargs, a player about to be cut with no value. Beyond dumb is not even bothering to put any protection on that pick- it takes one sentence to do that! Man, this organization- it can make you cry!

I dont think they could put protection on a pick swap. It's Denver's based on the teams record. But I agree that pick should never have been included.

Gotta hope he plays well enough before the deadline to make it a possibility. It's worth a shot. He will eventually be coming back so what else can they do?
