I wish Melo would just take a couple of weeks to see if his knee would get better.
I wish he'd get surgery now, so he can come back before the end of the season (I'm not a fan of players missing almost whole season- too much rust to shake off the following season)

While Phil has been more open with the media there still seems to be a lot of secrecy regarding medical issues. Something is up with melo's knee. Not sure what the logic in that is.
Get surgery? Does anyone know what ails him???
I would not worry, the whole injury thing seems a farce. My take is he'll play 60 games, take some time, keep it fresh and Team needs to keep the pressure of losing deflected from him.
My goodness, all we need to do is play Priggy big minutes. We sure to lose.
I had some knee pain and it lasted for a long time, but after doing some work on strengthening the muscles above the knee I no longer have the pain. I thought i'd need to have surgery, but it turns out that it wasn't as serious as it felt. I don't know what is going on with Melo's knee but i'm sure they've looked at it and have at least ruled out anything serious.
I too wish Melo would shut it down. If the knee problem was serious enough to need surgery, why put it off. However, I don't know any details about just what the problem is and so it's hard to say if he should play on it. They must have told him there's nothing structurally serious going on with his knee. This is besides the idea of tanking. I'm just talking about protecting our investment in Melo.

Players have always been secretive- Allan Houston had micro fracture surgery and we didn't find out about it until a few years ago! Not just us either- The bulls are still refusing to reveal what proceedure Noah had on his knee. I suspect micro fracture, judging by the fact they said it will take all year to get better.
I don't think it's the Knicks themselves that are hiding Melo's knee issue- players have a right to medical privacy like everyone else- if they say not to disclose a condition, then the team legally has to oblige. I can only hope it's something like a loose body issue, like what Early had- something that just takes a month or so recovery. Melo is scared of surgery (not saying that as a criticism- so am I), and tends to hold out as long as humanly possible.
So our starting back court is:
Calderon & Tim Jr. That ought to stop Dragic, Bledsoe and IT.

Does anyone really stop those guys? It's the same with Steph Curry and Klay. We'd need some pretty elite defenders to do that. They have to defend as a unit to close off penetration.
Why is our offense so stagnate with melo on the floor

Its not all on Melo- Tim Jr is chucking away as soon as he gets it.
Wow- both the teams look terrible!

Looks like Cole lit a fire under Smith a$$
The Knicks do fine when they execute but they can't execute the offense consistently well. They do it in spurts.
