Knicks · If you were picking #1 who would u take (page 1)

I'd pick Okafor without hesitation
StarksEwing1 @ 12/26/2014 5:01 PM
Okafor because a talented big man doest grow on trees. However i would be happy with mudiay towns or johnson. There is a possibility we wont win the lottery considering philly and detroit also suck
Knicks1969 @ 12/26/2014 5:58 PM
Giving how unlucky the Knicks are, it will be a miracle to end up with the first pick. If that is the case, given how many needs we have, I would suggest we trade the pick for a couple of later picks in the range of 10-15.

Alba
VCoug @ 12/26/2014 6:12 PM
Towns. He has the highest upside in the draft and he plays way better defense than Okafor.

Towns is not a good post player, he has a night motor like Rodman with the length of Jevale McGee

And Okafor is not a good defender or rebounder. Towns also plays the high-post better, is a better passer, and has better range. He's definitely a risk, Okafor has a much higher floor, but we need to hit a homerun in this draft.

My only concern with OKAFOR is that he is a 6'10" big. Ideally; I want my big to be a true 7' that has an inside out game and play defense.

All this is true. Knicks have to be ready to give this kid minutes right away. We don't have the luxury to stash players. So yeah, we need a homerun. Okafor, towns and Emmanuel all aren't sure things. All are incomplete in one way or another

TPercy @ 12/27/2014 12:17 AM
I see Towns struggling at first but given time in around 3-5 years time he would fully adapt and develop into a better player than Okafor. Okafor definitely would be better for now if we were to draft him, he more than ready for the NBA but in the long run Towns would be the better option. Unfortunatly as some of you guys have said, we don't have the luxury for "the long run"
gunsnewing @ 12/27/2014 12:20 AM
Towns is my guy. I have no problems taking him or Stein. I have no problem taking OK4 either with the 1st pick. Not interested in rest of the guys in the draft. Not even Mudiay

Ok4 is a PF not C
codeunknown @ 12/27/2014 1:52 AM
Okafor 1, Mudiay 2. Harrell 3. Russell 4. The rest afterwards, and its not close in my opinion.
KNICKSBIGCATS @ 12/27/2014 9:51 AM
I'd take Towns for reasons that others have stated;
I think that his upside is greater than OK4s.
Not many players can leap from the foul line and finish with a slam.

Nobody talks about Russell but the dude can ball. He has shot poorly when he has faced higher level comp. But he is only 18yrs old and has a nice game.
