We can dream can't we?
Whats the worst that happens? Disappointment.

Hey in this scenario it's better than KNOWING you have no shot in the world. All these years of just watching great prospects get drafted and knowing we weren't even in the running. We can at least have some hope in this case for a change and not just him but others in the top of the draft as well.

Luck certainly can be a factor in the fortunes of NBA franchises. Maybe it's our time. But it seems we're on target for a top 3 pick, so even if we whiff on OK4, we are getting a strong prospect. That, plus $30 million can ALSO change our near term prognosis.

my apologies to fans of other teams.

the NY Knicks deserve to win the lottery this year.

It would be the best thing for the NBA as well.

Maybe Adam can bring David out of retirement to run the lottery this year.

In fact, maybe Phil & Jim ought to have David as our lucky rabbit's foot and attend the lottery as our rep.

The odds are against us, but there is nothing wrong with a-hoping and a-dreaming

From that video...okafor is good but not great. he is a C/PF that plays like an SF and i am sorry to say... but he doesn't look like he loves contact from that video. there were a lot of "push offs" like Amare does when going to the rim. those are being called more and more in the league these days. he needs to develop that consistent outside shot and not be afraid to mix it up below the rim. most of those dunks were in transition without anyone around him to defend. that's not going to be the case in the nba. if he was muscling people out of position with his shoulders that would be a different story, but it seems he's either wrapping around on the drive bys or pushing off while jumping for the slam.

Is he a good fit next to Melo? I'm crap at working stuff like that out- would they get in each others way or are their games compatible?

he needs to develop an outside shot... then he wont get in melo's way because melo likes bully ball. his strengths in the paint would show when melo is on the bench

We would need to trade Melo

Melo doesn't really go low post as much as people think. He's more of a mid/high post guy. He can most certainly play with a low post guy in this offense, which has had both Pau and Bynum in the same offense. Okafor has a great base and there's nothing wrong with a PF who can play with power and finesse. Okafor has already been using the Duncan Bank shot. I think he'll be just fine as he continues to develop because he plays with skill and not just brute force.
