Question about Okafor:
If he is to play for us, how would he be able to play to his strengths on offense with Melo here. they have similar games and it is not like Ok4 other than his passing ability has another speciality like shooting or defense. Russell would not have any problems since he is a steph curry type player who can shoot, elite vision, handles etc. (or Towns who can do everything.
bah can't figure out vine embedding but...

So if we won the number one pick, and the 76ers won the 3rd pick, would you a) draft OK4, or b) trade the first for the 76ers 2 first rounders (the 3rd and Miami's, which at the moment is the 12th)? You'd still have a shot at Towns/Russell.

Phil had Kobe, Bynum, Gasol, Odom and Metta running the triangle in LA - they figured it out so wouldn't worry so much about Melo and Okafor. It will be the pieces you put around them that will determine ultimate outcome.

Would do this only if Towns was selected by the Sixers - then hopefully at #12 maybe a kid like Kaminsky is there and you add 2 talented 7 footers to the front line that can both pass/shoot.
That said Sixers would want to see who is there at #12 - they could walk away with Mudiay and Kaminsky or someone else.
Watching Gary Payton again--he's an impressive player--extremely quick and aggressive. I guess if the Knicks were looking for an intangible player out of rd 2 he jumps up on the list.

don't think that the sixers make this deal. There is no hands down #1 pick as in other years. 3 maybe as good as 1 in this draft.

Yeah and its not like the sixers are thirsty for another big as they already have noel and embidd
if they trade up it would be for russell as he could bring that team together nicely...
D'angelo Russel with a super game tonight (so far).
23 points (on only 13 shots)
10 rebounds
11 assists!
2 steals
Edit: he just made a ridiculous pass!
Triple double!!
might've played himself into the #1 pick tonight...

perhaps if the draft was tomorrow
I don't remember when was the last time we had a real (young) guard.
We have 3 solid chances. OK4, Karl-(Melo) Anthony-Towns and Russell.
2 first round picks is better than one. i would absolutely trade the overall #1 for #3 and #12.
two players..
bargnani
anthony bennett (behind mozzy in the lineup)
Fun to ride the hype roll-a-coater with big games by the big names.
Towns might be somewhat kept underwraps given the talent on Kentucky.
Who has seen Mudiay play? Nobody can keep him on any list without actually seeing him.
Somewhere there is "That guy" whose stock rises! Like Lillard. Dude was projected second rounder until month before draft. He surged in workeouts.
Some will also fall.
Knicks would do well to have the 3-12 but the problem is there is no overall no. 1 franchise player is there? Usually there is that one "Lebron" type and then every one else.
OK4 Anthony davis? Or Anthony Bennett???
NO guarantee's on anything!
Rakeen Christmas is a beast. two way player potential right there.

Lebron James, Michael Jordan come once in a decade or 2. But you do get your Durant, Davis and Stephen Curry's too. In this case Towns & Russell
durant absolutely deserves to be mentioned with jordan and james...
this draft assuming everyone expected to comes out .. could be the best draft this decade...

maybe I'm nuts but I think I would rather have anthony davis then durant.
Okafor will go against the 7fters of FSU tonight.
