This season has to be more about just getting the first pick. 82 games to also find some role players good enough to help field a contender. Building the deepest squad possible, not putting the team's fortunes on just one pick.
yeah I want players that contributed to 70 loses

It bothers you that the team is learning how to win, and rookie coach is learning how to conduct, you would prefer to forfeit that for the unknown player
Let's be honest we are never going to do anything of substance if the talent level on the knicks remains at what it is now. If the unknown player has the chance to be a Duncan, Wall or Davis I will take that chance. I am tired of always being one pick too late for the talented players. That draft where Steph Curry went 1 pick above us killed me. Could you imagine him and Melo on the same team on offense?

Amazing what D-Leaguers are capable of

I am not sure winning helps us at this point, it actually hurts our chances at getting the #1. It is better than all the losing but we have already been abysmal, why settle for mediocre and a mid round pick?
Sure it's only 3 games but I think the team needs to ensure that our draft chances are as high as possible.

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater. This is a team short on stars, but we might find some players good enough to come off the bench.
You people b!tch when they lose and you b!tch when they win...smh

The chance that some journeyman and melo playing through what should be opportunity could move us out of a generational player is a solid plan. Hey were the Knicks idiots until the end

I think it is a legit comment. I was happy with the win, but when you reflect on it, and you remember that we missed on Curry and Vucevic by a single draft order position, it has to make you think.
Does show that our guys have some pride in what they are doing.
Interesting that so many classic "role" players are behind these victories.
That was the best game of the year to watch... It's a lot of fun to watch a team play great team basketball... Nice to see we picked up decent players midway.. Tankers don't worry we will still get a good pick plus we already got a great pick in Galloway and production players in Thomas and Lou

Very cruel.

Play hard; play smart; develop the young; lose by one. I could live with this, and the occasional nice win.
We need to get rid of caldron and brags and pick up two more up and coming d leaguers... So we have the max money to go after two top free agent and a decent bench team

I'm not complaining because I was
Kind of bracing for it, at some point
We were going to hit a streak of wins
That time has come but we also have reality to deal with
Sixers and Wolves lost, the future of this franchise
Is very much on the line and a major part is tied to the draft
What does this say about JR, Shump, and Sam? Hahn and Wally mentioned the 3 ten day Gus are all high ball iq guys. Couple that with high character and the team appears to be transformed. Fish playing the new guys and slowly integrating the guys that were here for all the losing seems to be working.

Might not be a bad idea to trade
THJR for a pick and call up Than[he's one of those hard working good guys too]
And we need defense from our 2 guard position
I'd like to see Than play with Galloway
That backcourt might be real tough to score on
STOP WINNING!
For cripes sake, get Melo his surgery and let's get back to tanking. We NEED a top 3 pick in the draft. Seriously, we need it.
Then again J.R. is lighting it up in Cleveland
Playing alongside a high IQ player in Bron
So what does it say about Melo

How smart one has to be to beat a team that gave up 79 points in a half 2 games ago

THE DEFINITION OF A KNICK FAN
I don't see what is wrong with that thinking. It is pretty common knowledge that you don't want to be the middle of the pack. At the start of the year we wanted the Knicks to win. When it was obvious we will not be any good then the priority is to lose to get a high pick. In the past we have always been middle of the pack bad and that is partly why we are where we are at now.
