These are the two guys I want once we get rid of brags and Caldron...
Curry
Galloway
Melo
Smith
Onuaku
Prigs,thjr,early,Thomas,Lou as bench.
Onuaku is the banger, rebounder we have been missing. And Seth is a pure shooter that can hit the open shot all day long
Then next year our team could look like this
Drogic
Galloway
Melo
Milsap
Towns
Bench curry, thjr,Thomas, early,Lou,Onuaku,Greek that's 12 players that can all contribute
Yep yep. Posted about Onoauku in the game thread. The guy is a monster. Also, the Knicks seem to be doing well with high iq, character guys. I think Jorge Gutierez could be a nice fit. Not sure Gutierez can be more than a backup/ rotation guy but I know he can be that.
I just doesn't see any FA that is in their 30's willing to come over to NY if they had any offers that were just similar to what we can offer
Especially for Millsap and Atlanta, if Atlanta gives rewards him with a 4-5year deal to keep the team intact with the chemistry he has already established... why leave to a rebuilding team...
Maybe if a team compensated by giving his brother a generous contract?
For Dragic, he might want to leave, as he would eventually get traded if he resigned to Sun's
I don't know if he would go to New YOrk but he does have a brother as well

Because the team I mentioned drogic Galloway, melo, milsap, towns with the bench I mention would compete for a championship for years to come

Also become a legend in nyc if you win a chip make more $$ on endorsements then anywhere else in the country and again become a basketball Legend in nyc ..or play for atl a team that generates more fans from opposing teams then there own in the playoffs.also probably never win in atl even though they have a good team there is no home court advantage

I think Phil targets guys based on upside potential like Dallas did with Parsons. I don't think he goes for 30+ guys because of the bigger cap hit. Also, as you said there probably are better opportunities for those guys economically (staying with their teams, taxes).
Do you think Phil gets Seth or Onuaku to fill out the roster after he gets rid of caldron, prigs,or bargs

Onoauku reportedly has interest from 6 nba teams. He probably s signed soon by a eam other than the Knicks. I googled Onuaku tonight and there is a team in the Phillipines that really wants him. The coach said he would be like Shaq in their league. I dont know why someone hasn't signed Curry.
It is kind of mind blowing that both these guys haven't signed a 10 day yet curry is killing it so is Onuaku ... Come on Phil get rid of brags, prigs, caldron before it's to late
this period right before the trade deadline is going to cause teams to not change their roster too much for trade purposes since a lot of these end of the roster guys have contracts that come in handy...
Very surprised that Onuaku hasn't been called up yet too
His game/frame reminds me of a Speights and young Glen Davis, not sure if he has a mid range jumper like Speights though...
If we were to play like GS, I think Onuaku would be a very good backup PF/C for rebounds, OFF putbacks, and points in the paint, especially with the PnR
IF he can add a mid range game, he can easily earn 4-5m as a backup PF/C for 2-3years with a team option for 2nd or 3rd
Not sure if he has one but everything I have seen of him are dunks and layups, with PnR, post ups, and dunks
There is talent every year in the D League every year and it has become a great way to develop players for the cheap
Lou Amundson would be a double double machine in the D League with a pair of steals/blocks
This is why I want Draymond Green so much, I believe with his skill set he can make a lot of players around him better
We can run our Offense through him if you put HIGH IQ players around him, with shooters to space him out, and if we draft a BIG as our 1st rounder
Draymond Green plays as 1-5 options in GS
However, I would use his as the #1 and I believe he would be a triple double threat EVERYTHING if that happened with the right talent around him
Even though Amare could score, he doesn't have the ability to post up, faciltate, read the opponents DEFENSE, so he is not ideal for the Triangle
Green on the other hand, has the skills/ability that Pau Gasol has, and I think he would flourish under the system with the right talent
If we are lucky enough to draft OK4 and sign Draymond Green, with the rest of the money, we could build a team full of chemistry on OFFENSE and GOOD DEFENSIVE talents
We could easily fill our roster with talents that would work together while still be cost efficient with talents and contracts ranging from 2m - 5.5m to fill out the roster
UF hormer aside.
Why not bring in Patric Young instead of the older Onuaku? I think the 22 yr old is the better risk than the 27 yr old.

We wil have a good amount of younger guys to develop already, filling the roster with some high motor players like Onuaku would be comparable to bringing in more talented players like the 3 players that are not Galloway signing 10 day contracts

I was happy to read your post until you wrote Dragic as a player for the Knicks. I pray to God we draft Russell
This Onuaku is a 6'9" player, he appears to be a decent shotblocker.
Why hasn't anyone picked up those two guys? Specifically, Curry? This dude is a shot maker with infinite range; with more time learning and playing the PG position, he might even develop the slick ball handling skills of his brother. As for the other dude, he is a wide body who can definitely man the front court. We definitely should bring them in and see what they can become.
After all, what do we have to lose?
Yeah, I'm puzzled why Seth Curry hasn't found a team. I don't think he's ever going to start but what I've seen of his D league work has looked quite reasonable for a bench player.

The Cavs brought up Onuaku last year and later sent him back to the d league on assignment. I am not sure why he hasn't been signed this year.
Like Misterearl said, it ain't who you want, its who phil wants.
From what I have read, most of y'all not competent in your anaylsis let alone
think you got a winning formula.

not sure if you realize it but you can onky have 15 guys on a team..there are a million guys who fit the "what do we have to lose" concept and just because you want them, don't mean Phil does.
