http://bleacherreport.com/articles/23454...here are my thoughts:
Okafor (i agree) - excellent low post scorer and passer. not the best defender, lazy at times. needs better conditioning but that can be worked out.
russell (i agree) - good scorer (better shooter than i thought) with good passing intincts but im worried about his lack of athleticism. his defense or lack of defense is hidden in that ohio st zone. u need that to be a good nba pg (most of the time)
KATowns (i agree) - this is a tall kid who is still growing into his body and learning how to use it. so he seems a bit awkward at times. but regardless he has an excellent skill set (runs like unibrow, shoots like frye, underrated toughness). reminds me of a skinnier bynum 2.0 that can run and shoot
Turner (i agree) - hes not ready...too raw and still learning the game (fouls much, takes way to many jumpers - thinks hes KD) but once he figures it out hell be great. LMA 2.0. hell be drafted as a lottery pick but still raw
winslow (i agree) - isnt a good basketball player - hes an athlete that might be a better football player. he defends and can jump out the sky. but he cant shoot, dribble or pass MKG 2.0
Alexander (i agree) - classic case of an overhyped bigman who dominated vs HS competition. hes a 4 yr college player. if he does make an NBA team its cuz of his hustle
Booker (sleeper) - i think this kid is klay 2.0. if i could i would make a trade to get him in the lottery. GREAT shooter. excellent athlete. this kid should be a lottery pick
Cauley-Stein (i disagree with the article) - i think the kid WAS immature but luckily he stayed in college. now he has matured to a more consistent player. he is tyson 2.0. no offense, just dunks, alleyoops and def
Harrison twins (i agree) - great size but inconsistent shooters and playmakers (overhyped)
Dakari Johnson (i agree) - hell make an NBA team cuz of his size and motor but he doesnt really have skills (not ready yet)
Stanley johnson (ehh) - best wing defender ive seen in college. great motor. excellent on the fast break. not as good a shooter as i thought. again, hes not ready yet but in a few yrs hell be good. the NBA is better suited for his game
Kaminsky (i agree) - an excellent stretch 4 who can shoot, dribble and pass. reminds me of Mirotic 2.0. finished product NOW
Lyles - i agree that hes underrated but im not as high on him. any 6-10 big man with those skills will be drafted but im just not sure of his upside since he lacks athleticism
Oubre (i agree) - was overhyped but i can see the potential. he does look like hes half asleep but hes got a smooth jumper and does everything so easily. reminds me of james young last yr from kentucky
Delon wright (i agree) - nice size for a PG and athletiicsm but cant shoot
- If i didnt mention the rest of the folks on the list its cuz i dont think theyre NBA good. I think they play well in college because they have good skills but that might not work in the NBA cuz theyre too small or slow
- one person thats not on the list that i have my eye on is terry rozier from Louisville. a 6-2 bundle of energy that can shoot lights out
