For 4 years everyone has been talking about shump and how we need to do thissand that just to get the best out of him. Galloway comes off the street and already solidified himself as a better player than shump has everbeen as a knick. All in 20 days.
The Knicks had Galloway in the d league developing, but we have andre Barrett and other guards paying there too. Galloway is in control of his future. He got better, he put in the work. He proved he was an nba player in his first game with no fear.
Shump is now in Cleveland. We wasted too much time crying about that kid
Good post. In 20 days, Galloway has shown defense, offense, ability to hit a big shot and LEADERSHIP. Shump had flashes but never consistent in any one facet of his game. Not even D. Maybe LBJ will get it out of him, who knows.
Galloway is 23, Shump is 24. Galloway stayed in college 4 years. Shump 3 years. Galloway just a bit more polished and seemingly more mature.
Galloway is like Fisher. Not the sexy pick but in a team concept he is just what a team needs. Solid in all facets of the game. These are the kind of players Phil is looking for.

We waste a lot of time about a lot of things..........
Validation/Discreditation of Melo's existance is a life long quest for some!!!
When a player starts for 2yrs and essentially does nothing
And wasn't really a major factor for sugar high 54win season
It was a forgone conclusion with him
At the same time Galloway represents true development
A player shouldn't have to come from the D-League in order
For the fruits of labor to show, we should also know how to get
The most out of players who were on the team Day 1 of season

The same can be said for a lot of these "fans" who pile on with the negativity. Objective criticism is on thing, but the season long (Years long?) harangue makes for dreary reading

To give F5T some credit, it all comes from jilted love. The dude loves the knicks. He is one of the only ones who still shows up to the game threads.
I forgot about Shump the minute he released a "rap" song...
I still like Shumpert and I do not think we have seen the best of him yet
Some more of the recent players that have left our team and haven't looked the same since their departure
Tyson Chandler
Beno Udrih
JR Smith
They all have instinct success and noticeable changes the second to move on to other teams
Whether it is because of our lack of talent, fit, nightlife in NYC, or whatever it is....
Galloway is playing great, however, to point the finger at Shump isn't fair to him either
What was a motto 2 seasons ago, Once a Knick, always a Knick....

Its funny because of those three guys, Beno came to NY in really bad shape, JR admitted to partying too much and Tyson started his ridiculously bad run in NY in the spring of 2013 and finished his time out trying to sabotage the coach, needing personal days and being hurt/ill. None of them were very professional in their approach by the end of their time here. No regrets regarding that bunch. Personally I feel the same way about Shump.

well the scouting process must suck pretty bad, so i guess the development league is performing a valuable function.

Shump was supposed to be a second round pick until his individual workouts. D'Antoni said Shump's workout was the best he had ever seen. Too bad Mike liked him so much. Shump has played like a second rounder that has elite athleticism (prior to his injury) and nothing more in my opinion.
Might have forgot Shump, but NEVER FORGET LINSANITY!!!!

seemed like a tweener and he couldn't move "down" one position. lots of tweeners in the nba. knicks still have a few.
Shump is in a great spot now so I wish him well. Things changed here and in the end it wasn't in the cards. Now we're looking for specific types if players and hopefully with an actual plan this team can finally get it right. We have one clear voice at the top for a change.
If one get into shitty situation he very likely became sheet himself...
Hard to blame players who run into MSG mess.
