The format for the Rookie-Sophomore game is new this season. It is a team of American players in their first and second seasons against International players.

Anyone injured so that Galloway gets a shot? He'd be the best player on Team USA
Hmmmmm we have no representation in this game
Yet THJR put on a show last yr in this game
Had Fisher played THJR more minutes and showed more
Confidence in the kid's game early on maybe we would have some
This is a small example proving my point
THJ doesn't deserve to be in this game. I'm still hopeful he is traded with Calderon before the deadline

I agree he doesn't but he SHOULD be in this game

yea... blame the coach is just funny. Im with you. He played his way OFF the AS festivities. If he played D, rebounded, passed or did anything besides jack shots at sub .400 %s he would be playing.

He's actually improved in some of the areas you mentioned
When Shump went down with injury
And in particular after the trade went down
His ability to drive and get to the rim
Had no blocks in November and in December and January
Steady increase, his ast last 7-8gms are up along with his rebounding and 3pt %
But why let facts get in the way
http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/...
His shooting has been pretty dreadful all yr though
But that's why it's called development for a reason
Let's see if he can build on yesterday's game. Maybe the professionalism of guys like Lou & Lance are rubbing off on him to be a more consistent professional. If he continues to be streaky and play zero defense he should be used to move Calderon's contract and get a 2016 draft pick back

Facts. He's identical or worse in almost every category. He takes plays and possesions off. His shot selection is terrible. He has his one good game out of every 4. He has done NOTHING this year to force Fisher to play him any more than the considerable burn he's gotten.

He's been building on games since the trade
Funny how you have trepidation if THJR can really pull it together
Yet you're kind of all in on the recent acquisitions
To the extent you think there's probability we make the playoffs
Where's your consistency guns? No more Tank Hard that's out the window now
Tank Hard was fun while it lasted. Once Melo shuts it down after the Allstar game the knicks will secure a top pick despite playing hard and winning a few more games than we would've won when we were tanking hard.
It's the best of both worlds. System is telling and we add a top pick as oppose to trying to go from .100 win team to playoff team overnight just because you added a top pick

Once again why let facts get in the way
Since the trade while taking in play from the newbies and THJR
If you look at the link again past 7gms
He's been better than any stretch he's had all season
Do you have a valid explanation as to why
He's on a 7gm double digit scoring streak having only done this once before
This season, except his numbers are better during this stretch
Aren't we discussing things in the Prisoner of The Moment context
Because I could easily say Lou and Lance revert back to their averages
Much like you touted earlier Shumpert would and did this season
But I get it you like Heads and Tails

he
was
being
facetious
about
making
the
playoffs
Look again, no he wasn't
It worked! I managed to confuse you. Always fun to mix it up a bit so you are not pigeonholed

No you're playing both sides, I think you really feel
Deep down inside the east is so bad we'll pull a Pistons like run
And have a chance pending a Melo shutdown
But should things go as expected the shutdown will be the official nail in coffin
Then "knew we never had a shot"
lol we are 100 games out of the 8th spot. Making the playoffs or getting close with this unfinished team would be a castostrophic disaster.
All I know is Melo needs to shut it down. There is no reason for him to play out this season. I'm gonna chalk it up to a few reasons. Playing in the Allstar and in the meantime getting acclimated to playing in this system now that it is functioning properly. Better than trying to learn the system again next year. Eventually he needs to fix his knees or we have another Mcdyess, H20, Amare like albatross contract sinking the team for years to come.
The success he had last year might have been a bad thing.
Folks also looked at the long distance shooting and were willing to overlook the things THJ was not doing on the floor.
He is not a tenacious defender, to say the least, his ball handling is average at best, and his decision making is also spotty.
Maybe he just ends up being a modern version Cazzie Russell, circa 1969. Bring him in and hope his shot is on- keep him in if it is, sit him, if it isn't. Cazzie was averaging about 30MPG the two years before the Knicks first title. Played only 20MPG in 69/70. I think he was injured the year before the title, but Holtzman made the decision to play Bradley over Russell, and I expect a lot of it had to do with team chemistry. Cazzie was more skilled than Hardaway, though, and turned out to be the trade chip that got the Knicks Lucas and another title.
Ironically, both Cazzie and Tim played at Michigan, and they had similar bodies, if I remember correctly.
The way Fisher has played or not played him this year will, hopefully, be a wake-up call for Hardaway. He might never be starter material, but with some consistency he should be a decent rotational player.
We need a Jimmy Butler at SG NOT THJ who I always liked as a 6th man, poor mans JR(minus the head see)
