These are the draft picks that Minnesota has had since 2006, along with a few mid first round picks. How is it possible that this team gets to pick of of the 7 best players coming out college every year and is still the worst in the NBA?!
I think they should just be contracted out of the league. They are a disgrace.
Just goes to show, getting high picks in and of itself doesn't guarantee anything.
That being said, I still hope they start winning a few games and let the Knicks grab the number 1 pick! FU Minny! Get out da way!

I bet if you look at the post Jordan Horri-Bulls you would see something similar. Eddy, Tyson, Marcus Fizer.. many times they simply took the BPA and had little to show for it.
People really want to kill the Knicks for mismanaging the draft, and they should. The policy of throw-in first rounders has bankrupted this team of talent.
That being said this is why its so important to have a system and style of play in place. They need to get pieces that fit together. They need to evaluate players based on how they will fit into the system and style of play.
I dont expect every pick to be great. Obviously there is a lot of pressure to get a core piece of the puzzle out of this draft
How is it that the second worst record behind Minny was the knicks.
How is it that one can trade away all our picks and still have that record? Goes to show that trading for "the sure thing" sure as hell did not work.
Is one really that much better/worse then the other?
Are the knicks a disgrace? Should we be contracted out of the league?

There are so many misses they had and opportunities to put together a great core. They opt to build exclusively through the draft with poor management. Drafting well takes skill, luck, and patience. It's incredibly hard to build thru the draft. It is mostly luck. See Okc as an example. What happens if they got the first pick instead of the second in 2007? They would not be who they are. They have done a great job drafting since then, but that's where it all started. Same with San Antonio. Let's hope we have some luck this draft.
Exactly Nalod. Let's not forget to mention Noah, Jimmy Butler & Derrick Rose. Bottom line is you have to know what they hell you are doing. Previous KNICK regimes had no clue

Your point is off. The Knicks have not been one of the 7 worst teams in the league EVERY year. They have had a couple of playoff appearances. I am not saying that that's enough, or that I even condone they way the Knicks have thrown away picks for seemingly nothing. Not at all. I'm saying that Minny is an utterly TERRIBLY managed team, worst even than Lil Jimmy's Knicks. I'm saying that in spite of everything the league has tried to do to promote parity and throw a bone to teams down on their luck with good kids coming out of school, Minny has managed to waste it all and STILL be the number 1 worst team in the league.

In the last 15 years the knicks have had the second worst record in the league. Thats my basis.
Minny has Flip Saunders as president and coach and he is a well respected guy. Losing Love was a big deal and caused them to "Reboot" with Wiggins. They have also been very unfortunate with injuries.
They also went to the conf. finals with Garnett and Spree about 10 years ago.
Contraction won't happen. The economic model needs to crumble. In the event of a bancruptcy I imagine the team can get moved but two things have happen. The host arena is obviously a creditor and that would have to be negotiated. Maybe even the city becomes the owner by default. In that event the league would likley take the team over, pump money into it and then sell it. This is what happend in New Orleans. Minny is viable market. Your looking at the concept of diluted talent and thats arguable. The global infusion of players has supplimented the lack of domestic talent. Todays athlete is superior than previous generations (true with most sports)so perhaps your looking at differentiation of players and perhaps looking backward with great affection fo the past and maybe eroneously bleeding different era's into each other.
Knicks have been an disaster, second only to Minny! Look it up. Im going on 15 years.
Your saying "EVERY YEAR". Well, thats not debatable! http://sportslistoftheday.com/2013/08/06...
This prior to the 2013-14 season but not much has changed except Golden state is climbing some. Some suprises on that list for sure!!!
