A few observations

Players. Knicks as a team played hard. The nets looked way bigger plumlee kg and Lopez are all taller than any knick and both kg and Lopez did what they wanted

Knicks first off was impresses with the speed of both Galloway and Larkin problem w Larkin is he'd jet to any spot but his size was a true detriment to his finishing ability. Galloway was aggressive putting nets players on their heels several times and was all over the place grabbing balls
Lance Thomas is a keeper he's got a high release but is very accurate and plays aggressive
I think lt can be a 50% scorer as a 3-4 and avg 12-13 points w several rebounds
Melo was terrible he looked slow and was forced to take bad shots didn't really care to pass and other than q3was porous on d he needs that knee surgery
Was not impressed w smith first off in person he's smaller than the nets7footers. He really is not a5 he doesn't rebound and his d against these bigs was not there the few mid range shots he hit did not hide his deficient play
Amare played well so did Calderon. The knicks played very hard especially in q 3 the nets physically look like they could beat the knicks by 30 so give the knicks credit for hard play

Enjoyed the Barclay center and the experience going to check out the westchester knicks next week

Dude, did you just write that Amare and Calderon play well? I watched the game last night as well, and I will politely disagree with you there.

In my opinion the nets slacked off in the second half. That game should have been over early in the third

Nice synopsis. If Melo was on his game the Knicks win that game. It really is nice to see some of these role players contribute and make a case for them to be part of the team next year. These minutes this year are great for LG, LT and THJ. They need to continue to develop as players and build chemistry in the system. Jason IMO is fine as a reserve as is LA, who seems to be a good energy guy. We have to remember that we'll need cheap role players too. The starting 5 should be totally different next year but some of these guys can be good reserves.

I think read Melo had a cold or something.

They key for Larkin is learning to control his speed and use it as a weapon. If he can learn when to switch gears, he can keep the defense on it's toes and overcome his size disadvantage. He's lightening fast but he needs to learn when to use it. Not sure if he will anytime soon, though.
