we have all the cap space in the world, and your saying we can't afford him..lol
If we had some extra picks, some low protected ones I'd do it.
We don't.
Look down the road and build an asset base. No more trading picks until we start to cultivate players and either play them or "defer" them into picks.
Smart teams manage their cap by doing this.

Dragic was let go by the Rockets in the 2012 free agency.
The Los Angeles Lakers also plan on testing the Suns' resolve. Sources say the Lakers plan on offering Dragic a four-year, $80 million max contract this summer.
The Suns' general stance in recent weeks and months has been to rebuff all trade interest in Dragic. But the Suns have also been attempting to gauge their chances of re-signing Dragic in the offseason.
Eric Bledsoe was re-signed last offseason on a five-year, $70 million contract, while they also have Isaiah Thomas on a three-year, $27 million deal.
If they get desperate, they may start throwing max money at 2nd tier players, driving their prices up.
Knicks have to ignore such a tactic. They can't ruin their remaining cap trying to outmatch LA. Knicks need to shop according to their own value list. IF a guy wants more than we have him priced at then so long.
Yeah but Dolan prices every player at 5 times what they're worth!
the dragic you see now is probably the dragic that will be here.... the ball is not in his hands as much with another pg on the court with him and he wouldn't have the ball in his hands as much here... it's basically a spot up shooter with some opportunistic chances to drive and create...
he'll be good.. just won't be too good here..
Suns might also try trading Isaiah Thomas if it means Dragic will stay. His salary is about $7mil- just out of interest would you rather have IT or Reggie Jackson? Probably neither for me, but if I knew we were going to sign Reggie, I'd rather have IT- both are selfish and want to be 'the man', neither are good fits for the triangle, but IT is the more skilled player, I think, plus Reggie will likely push for more than $7mil a year.

lets be realistic, were not getting scoring pg westbrook, who i wouldn't take unless i was at a rucker tournament. No way do i want my pg taking 30 shots
Well im glad youre not the GM. #1 Hes not a PG...Hes a SG that passes when he starts missing... #2 You would be a fool to pass on Westbrook.

Westbrook proved to me at msg when he dropped 40 that he is a selfish player. He's an alpha male and he demands alot from his players but he needs to be in a system like the Knicks just to get the ball out of his hands sometimes. He can shoot it every time and he will be justified cuz nobody on the planet can stop him. Not going to cut it as a point guard. OKC needs a coaching change and a point guard in my opinion. Calderón would be great playing next to westbrook....i doubt that happens though cuz you need the franchise to be all about that and is clear since they let Harden walk that they haven't figured out that they need to slide westbrook to the 2 guard spot.
Phenix has 3 great young prospects on their bench in Tyler ennis, tj Warren and Archie Goodrich. Instead of getting those guys out on the court, they invested money and trades to bury all 3 on the bench for no good reason.
Why does Phenix have 3 starting caliber nba point guards paying all 3 nba starter money? It's ridiculous. They need to pick one and allow Tyler ennis to be the back up. Tj Warren is phenix best small fwd period. Phenix have at least 5 small fwd ahead of him on the depth chart making way now money than him. It's ridiculous. Archie Goodrich could start today on alot of nba teams. Instead he's just buried on their bench because they chose to sign 3 staying caliber nba point guards. Ridiculous!
I freaking hate this team. Dumb management. They are too busy trying to get value for their players instead of building a proper team. Any of us could do a better job running that team
Utah needs to jump all over a Dragic deal. A Kanter for Dragic swap seems like Ideal fits for both teams. Kanter is way younger though.
