didn't they get back the lakers pick?
what don't you get?
If you don't understand an analytics move, it does not mean that its not a good move.
Am I wrong in thinking Micheal Cater-Williams was a great pick for them..How do u trade him??..For more picks??.Picks are more valuable than the real deal??
MCW can't shoot at all, he ain't the real deal. The sixers will keep flipping picks and assets until they hit the jackpot.
They have put themselves in a position where they can miss on many players and still have many many more chances.
At some point the music has to stop when playing musical chairs..Michael Ray wasn't a good shooter either..PGs turning triple doubles don't grow in trees..

Too early to say if MCW is the real deal or not. It's only his second year and Kidd obviously sees something in him. Stein is reporting that Suns offered Dragic for Knight and the Bucks rejected tgat deal, so i think the Bucks zeroed in on who they wanted. The 76ers are likely looking at Russell or Mudiay in this draft, so probably figured now is the time to flip MCW.

If they are serious about McGee playing for them, they'll have enough size on their roster next year to look at Russell/Mudiay.
The fact that Kidd sees something in MCW is interesting though... maybe he works his magic on him and the guy shapes up into a good player.

Also why did the Bucks trade Knight? MCW cant shoot and Knight can. I cant see how that makes them better?
Jason Kidd couldn't either but got triple doubles
Is the Sophomore slump not a thing anymore? MCW just won rookie of the year 9 months ago. I don't think he's been that terrible to pull the plug this soon...
the draft is very deep at pg and they now have a ton of picks.... i'm sure they'll get a very good pg even if it's not mudiay or russell...
MCW can't shoot but he's avg 15,6,7 & 1.5 steals.

MCW is an extreme talent who just can't shoot at all. For a team like the sixers who are taking the analytics route, your guards need to be able to shoot somewhat efficiently. For a team that is taking the more traditional / old school route, MCW can do a lot of good things.
The Sixers still have to prove they can draft well.

Gary Payton and John Wall couldn't shoot for crap in their first few years in the league. MCW could still become respectable from three. It's too early to write off the development MCW of a guy in his second year. Philly is shaping up to be more of an interior team, especially when Embiid comes back. MCW looks like a guy who will thrive in an uptempo offense and the trade will benefit him in the long run.
they could potentially have 4 first rd picks in an absolutely loaded draft.... that lakers pick has a lot of value and i really wish we could have taken that deal...
Rondo is not a good shooter either. My prob is not with PGs who do everything but shoot well. It is with the Marbury, rose and west rooms of the world

I did not give up on him and neither did the sixers. They just want to do better. Could he become respectable from 3? Maybe ... Rondo couldn't ... hard to become a good shooter when you are a terrible shoot but anything is possible.
Philly is building an up tempo spread offense ... they will be shooting loads of threes and close shots.
might've been a little early to give up on mcw... but... there are some serious pgs in this year's draft.. i mean there are four who are better than him right now and that's not including mudiay...
it was the right move trying to get as many picks into this draft as possible because it is going to be a good one...

pretty sure jason kidd was involved in making that deal... i bet he thinks he can mentor mcw...
If only phil could get rid of calderon's contract

well ... he is the right guy to do it. A hall of fame PG who could not shoot.
We have to make calls to Minny this summer and see if they'll take Jose. They gave up a 1st for Young then traded him for Garnett. They shredded some salary but they are still known for making bad decisions

They sure could've fooled me the way they've been stockpiling big men and wings who can't shoot.

forget about their stockpiles that are just a treasure chest of assets that can be flipped.
