Forget about Butler, he might be way too expensive to obtain. The one young dude we must pursue is Snell. He is a legit 6'7" dude that can shoot the ball and play defense. He is the player we all wish we had in THJ. We should at getting this dude on the cheap

and how do you think we should acquire Tony Snell?
TPercy@ 2/21/2015 10:35 PM
He look like a muhking ughhhhhhhh
Finestrg@ 2/21/2015 11:40 PM
Luke Babbitt's a SF I've got my eye on adding in FA. I don't think he'd cost much -- I like his game. Real good lefty 3-pt shooter, he can also put it on the floor, create his own mid-range shots and he hits the offensive glass. Depending on how Melo's knee heals, how Cleanthony Early develops, etc., we may wind up needing more SF depth. I think Babbitt would be a nice addition.
callmened@ 2/22/2015 10:46 AM
Luke Babbitt is NOT a good player...lol...smh. he cant create, defend, or rebound. the only thing he does well is shoot when hes absolutely wide open. hes so bad, dante cunningham who hasnt played in 2 yrs and is a natural PF, replaced him in one week

I never get why people keep going on about how they find him ugly. It's pretty nasty and irrelevant- would you like it if everyone on the internet started saying it about you?

He is not nearly as uglee as Willie McGee

How do you feel about Travis Wear?

Yeah, pretty odd that Knick fans would get on Snell for being ugly considering that we had on our team the ugliest human to ever walk the Earth: Ken "The Animal" Bannister. Snell is Denzel in comparison to Bannister.

Mike Dunleavy Jr I think is perfect for the triangle.

He's a JV high school player. Hey, give him credit -- he looked ok today. Who would you guys rather see--Travis wear or JaMychal green, Khem birch, Thomas Robinson, etc...yeah he's getting paid(just got his 2nd 10 day contract) but JaMychal green isn't even playing in Memphis right now. I thought he wanted pt?? Isn't that why he left the Spurs? Over here, I would be giving him 35 mins a night and 15-20 shots. Did Phil guarantee him that for the rest of the year? Probably not. Better question--why not?

Travis wear doesn't belong in the nba. He needs to hit the d league circuit for a while.
As far as Phil not signing guys.... these players have to want to come to NY.....they chose to sign where they signed. To fans like you and I, coming to ny is a great opportunity to get minutes and increase my stock and get more money. This generation wants to ride the coattails of guys that are already winners and somehow sidestep paying dues to getting starters minutes right away.
We just have to be patient that some players want to come here and compete. It's going to take a special kinda player

Disagree. First off, DAMN GOOD player coming into the NBA out of Nevada. Drafted what, 18 or so, right? Dude has talent...Yeah he hasn't created much in the NBA for 2 reasons -- hasn't really played a ton (only averaging 12.5 mins per in 197 games total so far career), and because he probably hasn't be asked to -- I'd be willing to bet Portland and now New Orleans want him out on the perimeter shooting 3s and not much else. Over here, I'd want more. I'd want to see the whole package. It's there -- he actually can put it on the floor where he can finish at the goal or just enough to open up his mid-range game. And then I like his size (legit 6'9" SF with good length to boot) which enables him to offer something on the glass. He's got a little scrappiness to him. I like the guy -- nice young talent that shouldn't be too expensive. Just keeping it in perspective -- if Melo makes it back 100% and Early begins to show his worth to the point where we can pencil him in as a primary SF backup/rotation player for next year, there may not be too much of a need for Babbitt. However, if Melo's can't start next year 100% and Early continues to shit the bed, there's more of a need for him. Even so, wouldn't be a bad guy to have around for additional depth/3-pt shooting behind those 2 anyway. Who knows -- we may come to the realization that Cleanthony Early's not for us (maybe he's not an NBA player -- just sayin' although I'm nowhere near ready to say that definitively yet) -- Early may have value in a trade (a big reason I want the guy playing and not buried by Fisher for long stretches on the bench -- let's see if Early can put up a few 20-pt games here. We can only benefit -- either we then see him as a keeper or he'll boost his trade value). If we could get something for Early and then turn around and fill the backup SF spot with Luke Babbitt, provided he's not too expensive--that's not a bad option and something to consider.
Here's some game action of Babbitt -- 2 recent clips; highlights of perhaps his best game as a pro, a win over James Harden and the Rockets in Houston last year I believe; along with Nevada highlights. More than enough to get a feel for what he could do:

If I were Snell I would not give a crap, I'd be a great future prospect in the Nba getting paid a lot( compared to avg American) living the dream.

Hes really close. He look like Bobby Smurdas alienated twin.

I don't understand what his look has to do with anything. The dude can flat out ball; in fact, he is a lot better player than all the curent players on the roster, minus Carmelo. He is a two-way player; that alone is enticing in my opinion.
RonRon@ 2/22/2015 7:08 PM
pretty sure what Ned means is that Babbit is quite unorthodox with no real skills or physical abilities He isn't exactly a very good baller, he makes Novak look very talented and versatile However, he is a can be a very good shooter though he can be very streaky at times, standing at about 6-9 Outside of his height and set shot, he doesn't offer much and is positionless, without the abilities to defend a position in the NBA

im a closet Pelicans fan. ever since the knicks suck, i picked up NBA league pass and i watch this team play. Babbitt is a horrible player. LOL. period. hes embarrassing on defense, he cant create his own shot. sure he 3s go in only when he has 5 minutes to shoot is set shot. this kid shouldnt even play in the NBA.

Can't compare him to Novak. Novak can't do anything that you see in those clips posted above. I do she he's not a world beater, but if we needed talent to fill out the roster after we make bigger signings than he's got to be on the list. He can shoot and he's a hard worker.

@ Ned, I got league pass since 2003? Whenever Tmac signed with Grant Hill to Orlando, though Hill never played do to injuries.... Let me guess, You have Anthony Davis and/or some other players in your Fantasy League?
@ Envy, I am saying Novak actually has a lot more skills over Babbit, while both players strength is shooting Both are unable to really defend a position and are around the same built/height Babbit is only a shooter, more like a 3pt set shot specialist, he doesn't really take jump shots either, and isn't the best shooter/scorer from inside due to his lack of skills/physical abilities On top of it, Babbit is a bit unorthadox in his movement making him look extra arkward, especially with his hair I would have rather had Babbit at the vet min than Novak at 4.5m on a 4 year deal Then use that money elsewhere, in fact I am sure I brought that up prior to Lin's deal to the Rockets, as I felt Lin was much more important than Novak Shooting 3pters is his only skill set and he offers little to NOTHING at all, while standing at 6-10, and unable to defend any position
As long as he can shoot, he will stay in the NBA as a rotational player and receive many DNP's at time He isn't a player that any team should be "targetting" because of his weakness's and inability to defend a position
