The Galloway foul on Shumpert driving is the type that never would have been called a few years ago.

It's got be nice for Shumpert, Mozgov & JR too be on a championship contender after all the losing. Especially Shumpert who hates losing(one of the reasons he is my favorite player)

JR and Shump were here and we stunk so you can't always base everything off the W/L's this year. I'm looking at how guys are developing in this system and since most of these guys would be role players off the bench, you can't hold them to a higher standard. Our Starters for next year aren't on the team aside from Melo. I wanna see hustle and execution of the offense. They may not make the shots but are they making the right passes and taking the right shots.

My keepers: Melo, Galloway, Jason Smith, Lou Amundson(maybe)

Me too! Wanna get him more practice time horse shit -- put him in Fish!! Come on...The rest of these guys are terrible. Completely overmatched out there...

The good old days

Mozgov had a breakout game for us where the crowd at The Garden chanted his name.

He must have fond memories of his layover in New York

Shump is really thin.

Iman Shumpert would be the best player on this Knicks team

I would only make that kind of assessment after the season is over or close to it. Right now it's still too early.

None of these guys are keepers except early and i suspect shved may be too, although $4mm to keep him around for next year would be a steep cap hit. Let's see though-- I like shved's game. He's got Jeremy Lin-type skills only taller. Other than those 2 guys, none of these guys should be back for next year. You want an honest assessment of the current roster--that's it.

Where the hell is early anyway? Let that kid play, sink or swim

Why weren't Shumpert and Smith under control in a controlled system offense like ours, though? They could have stepped up, but Smith, especially, played like he wanted to be traded. Shumpert is best suited to be a bench player, it would seem, and not an alpha dog... something he was unwilling to accept in NY.

It's still important to let this play out and see what happens. We will have to keep some players for some continuity. The most important thing is for Phil to bring in starting quality players and i'm pretty sure that's gong to be the focus of his off season. Then we can fill in the back of the roster with some of these guys who have proven they can function in this system. Role players look a lot better when you have frontline talent. Just look at JR and Shump.
